I prefer the thicker version, too.
Also, I've really finally gotta work on those background tiles. *mutters*

But that'd mean that there need to be new ground tiles, ground-to-new-ground-tiles and way more of that stuff... Too much, I guess...

Great work!

Now we need sucker tubes, hooks, and REAL vines (all I see are lightning vines)

Though we could be like diamondus and have open space for sucker tubes

Because at one point we were having a surge of tiles, and updating the main tileset became a hassle as some tiles were left out etc. etc.

Good call. Only.... I dunno, I have the feeling that the color of that sky would kind of clash with the rest.. maybe make it a little more bluish ( only a little bit ) and somewhat darker..?

EDIT: Hang on, I'll see what I can do with it.

EDIT 2: Delicate change, but I think it works..

EDIT 3: ...seriously, there is a difference.

Yes. The electric stuff, according to N0b0dy, is supposed to be an animation.

The vine IS animated, with those four tiles. If someone wants to add more vine tiles, go for it, for the more tiles we have, the more random the static shall be.

Nice, risp.

Are we missing anything?

-=edit=-

What we need to make in the next 10 hours:

Hooks
Water Blocks (let the acid reside in the ground)
Belts
Fans
Foreground stuff
Tree to roots
Tree to branches

Defiantly possible, if you are working on something, say so, so that no one else will be working on it as well.

I'm working on some kind of warp-ish tile and bottom-of-platform slopes for the first tiletype (those were needed still). I've also made some kind of alternative sides for the wood.

Feel free to make them much better and not just CtrlC/CtrlV jobs... I just threw those in because the tileset wouldn't quite work without them and nobody seemed to be making any.

Problem is I'm a bit of a cut & paste person myself..

This was all I could bear to do:

The round thingies are supposed to be warp rings. They haven't become great. Someone else could make better warp rings (I think they can be quite useful). The wood things are alternative platform sides for the wood.

I suggest the kansas thing for a layer 8 background.

I hope someone else's still going to do some things, it's been awfully silent.

Every time zone except the one that matters, that being the one I actually live in. I have 44 minutes to endanger my life and finish this thing up, assuming nobody pitches in with anything extra.

Edit #1:
Fix for Quist tiles to use newer rocks.
Hooks.

Edit #2:
Suddenly occured to me that the waterfall was essentially useless as was...

Edit #3:
Really hope this is usable, had minimum time for testing. Supposed to be transparent and go over viney wall stuff.

Well... August is over. It's Midnight, September 1st. Our tileset - dubbed "Kansas" unless someone somehow comes up with something better - is all drawn and ready to be organized and masked and compiled by some friendly person or persons Other Than Myself. That person/s, incidentally, gets permission to fix any major errors (I'm thinking of twelve tiles in particular, btw, see if you can spot them), but not to add any actual new tiles.

For what it's worth, by the way, this is a pretty cool tileset. It's nothing I'm used to, and it's possibly a little too straight, but it has a nice variety of stuff and should be interesting to see used.

Do we want to try this again for September? Let me know (by posting here) over the course of the day and I'll check your thoughts around nighttime.

Ofcourse, another tileset! This time, I'll do some effort too... I am not THAT good with tileset, but I just learned the basics.

Anyway, this turned out great. I hope the next one will even be BETTER!

Seconded!

And next, a BEACH tileset! ..or something else. But we do have few beaches.. or oceanic tilesets.. stuff like that. Hmm, water.

Edit: By the way... the tileset will be uploaded to J2O, right? Would those who worked on the tileset be allowed to review and rate it? o_o;
