This was indeed a good joke. Rather infuriating, but funny nonetheless. We can only hope that one day there actually will be a 1.25. But I doubt it. ;p

Hehe, something sounded a bit fishy about the cutscenes (How would you program those?) and multiple tilesets things (Because of palettes and such). I was undecided whether it was real or not when I read about it, but the secret is out. :P It does suck though to hear it's all fake. It would have been real cool to have all that extra stuff.

Not a good joke really although it was done at April 1st and much work was spent to the screenshots. That's because I'm so addicted to this game that all my dreams went broken now as you revealed it was only a joke. Well, this was probably too sweet to be true even so I doubt in vain this could have been a real patch. ;(

Well, how about thinking of the real patch as April 1st is over? How about contacting Epic for the source code or so? Go on, please...

I am SOOO confused now, first i was 50/50 on it. then i knew it was fake, now its uprising again..ugh.....

It is just completely fake, just stick on that, White Rabbit was just joking, everyone was joking, if we haven't the source code we also can't make a 1.25

Keep in mind that Everlasting most likely has got the multiplayer part of the engine.

If you know what your doing, you can rip the source code from the game itself.

I have 1.23 and TSF, and 1.23 is better in almost every way. the TSF lvls arent that great, and lori plain out sucks.i think TSF people are ticked cuz they dont have 1.23

I figure "we" know about the people stuck with JJ2 1.23 since most of us are stuck with it too. We long for 1.25 too, that's not just something only the people who fell for this joke do. As for it being part of some people's biggest hopes and dreams.. that should mostly show those people need to broaden their horizon and look beyond hoping for patches that are unlikely to be released anytime soon or at all.
