When I got JJ2, it didn't come with JJ1. It, also had the little "call-us" card inside. They were called. However, in about September 1999 my computer crashed. Well, actually, it's harddrive crashed. No, regedit crashed. So Windows crashed. But DOS didn't [ YaY(:] But, I was stupid enough to not put JJ1 on a zip disk. And then I couldn't find the CD. Ad then... I still couldn't . I still can't .
(can anybody get it for me) |

I never managed to get JJ1. Too bad, it would have been interesting to see what it looks like.

Anyone have One Must Fall 2097, by Epic Megagames? Well, this game is a Mortal Kombat-sort of game, but is 561x better. Anyway, there was a secret character Jazz Jackrabbit, who was a green, very fast robot who you could fight if you do some secret things. I guess Epic lost their interest in putting Jazz in their games! Why, they should at LEAST put a Jazz model for Unreal Tournament! haha, that would be funny.

Remember this picture from the lab tileset in JJ2?
Well, it just happens to be a robot playable in OMF called the Katana! I'd get a picture of the Katana in OMF, but windows can run DOS programs worth squat. Ahh, the good ol' days of DOS, where life was simple and games worked.... |

Eva and Devan were also in OMF 2097.
The Katanna robot is also in the Jazz 1 secret levels for Diamondus, Marbela and maybe some others. |

If you look more closely, you'll find these robots in the secret levels:
Ep 1: Katana (Diamondus) Ep 2: Jaguar (Technoir) Ep 4: Shredder (Nippius) Ep 5: Pyros (Marbelara) Look them up if you want |

Cool! I'd check it out, if I had JJ1! It should've been included in JJ2, but I bought JJ2 when it was brand-spankin' new, with that "We made a mistake!" card, telling you to call GOD Games but the stupid phone number didn't work, or something. Oh well. There's always warez!

Funny, our European publisher (Project 2) didn't make that mistake AFAiK. I bought the game right after it was released and Jazz 1 was included (i already had Jazz 1 before, of course .
Any more info on that topic? Pretty interesting. |
Apr 12, 2001, 10:31 AM | |
No, Nitro, GOD published JJ2 for the US, and Project 2 published JJ2 for the Euros.
It seems like I was the only one on this planet that got JJ2 from GOD and Jazz 1 was included...

One of these days I'll go to the Nippius secret level but I hate the place a little too much to bother.

Hmph. I never got Jazz 1 included, and nobody was very helpful about getting me a copy, either
-sigh- I'm still wishing that somethin' would happen about Jazz 3 - I'm really impatient... J.D.. |

Hey, you should be happy with what you got!
I'm kinda doubting JJ3 will be created, as p3 there didn't actually SAY anything about JJ3 being created for sure. It could happen, but I guess it'll prolly end up with a hardcore JJ2 fan making JJ3! |

I had that notice too, but I forgot about it. I said "Screw them," and bought the JJ1 CD. Hehe.

I got that stupid card, and the phone number didn't work. I looked on the internet however, and got a number for Godgames. The Tec Support guy gave me authorization to Access a special part of the Godgames site, where they had Jazz1 zipped in a self-executible exe format. I downloaded it, and... IT WORKED!!! I got all 6 episodes, plus the special CD edition episodes!!!! I'm not sure if the site works anymore, (and you need a password to get in) but I have made a website, and on it, I have put the Jazz1 Cd edition game on it in a self-executable exe file for free!!! if you want it, go to [Removed by Bobby]
and download it. HellRaiser, this board strictly prohibits links or posts for warez. -Bobby |
