I looked back through the topic (OMG YES I DID!) and noticed that you mentioned the Chaos Ward is made of wood.

Now, follow me here:

If the Chaos Ward is made of wood, it will float. However, if we enchant it to become Chaos Wood, it will sink. But then if we enchant it to repel all Chaos items (I am guessing the grape in the throat) then shouldn't that therefore nullify itself?

The Chaos Ward is not a chaos item. It is enchanted not to move (like the Bookmark) and to repel chaos items. Nothing can be glitched here, it's all basic enchantment.
