The previous page had almost no screenshots. And that's what this topic is for. Not for talking about how good the level names are. I'll post some screenshots soon.

Even though screenshots can do this level no justice (the lightning effect is too awesome to capture D=), I'm posting some.

edit: me edits for R3p

This level will probably be released as a single level before I upload my levelpack 'Serious Emergencies'. I still need to finish one level of that pack because I wasn't too proud of a Battle level from that pack.

The name for P4ul's level is fine, it's this arguement about it going on that's the sad thing imo.

I'm currently making a new Level Pack for JJ2. I will call it "Super Jazz Brothers 3."
This will probably take MONTHS! Tileset I am using is "SMB3: Grass land."
It's gonna be like the classic Mario games. It will have LOADS of levels. I think about 30 or maybe even 40+ levels.
No screenshots right now.

The thread isn't about screenshots, it's about sharing levels you're working on. Screenshots are just the most common way of sharing levels, not the topic's main purpose.

Waste of post, second time. You should be ashamed.

Anyway, I'm making an SP pack. It involves collecting treasures from deceased Pearoah's Pyramids, and is set in Carro, Eargyt.

I've been at the level-making game on and off for several years now, ever since the game came out in '98. As such, I still refuse to use the new tilesets. Here's the level I am working on (obviously needs some eyecandy work) which I'd say is 20% complete. I'm in no hurry to finish, see?

To be honest, making the official tilesets "Forbidden" by saying that they're overused just makes them extrememly underused.

Something thats never made sense to me- So a tileset is "overused", so the (-) what?
Just because a tileset is underused doesn't make the level any better, and an 'overused' tileset doesn't make a level any worse.

*shrugs* I dunno why it is, but I just don't find the old tilesets visually appealing anymore. I guess many of us kinda got numb to them or something.

It's not the only one. Inferno is also really underused because it's pretty hard to use. Myself I find the old tilesets really boring as well. Conversions still beat official tilesets. And about the screenshot: I dunno what to say about it, because it just shows some tubes.

Why, that's pure balderdash. The game creators intended them to be used, and by God, I'll use them for as long as I want. As far as I'm conserned, the only tileset makers you can really trust compeletely are the ones who made the game in the first place. Simply balderdash.

And like I said, it needs some work. And by "some" I mean "quite a bit", and by "quite a bit" I mean "quite a bit". Which means it's not done. And I just saw this thread so I decided to show what I was doing. And stuff...

Grr, you guys make me SO mad sometimes....!

Inferno is underused because it sucks. It just doesn't have versatility.

That's entirely true. It was a very poor choice for the last level, especially considering it was going to be used to put an end to the JJ2 storyline. I'm still crying over it... :'(

That's bull. Why would you trust a game maker anyway? If it's masked good? Agama made great tilesets, and she wasn't one of the gamemakers, same for Blur.

Not really. The game has grown so apart from the game maker's original intentions. Just compare Diamondus Warzone to Distopia or Semiconductor. The fact is, the community's idea of what is good is different then the game makers. The same goes for tilesets. Tilesets are expected to have working water, snow, pinball events, the works. Plus all destruct scenery, et cetera. Eyecandy galore, transitions between ground and background. I could go on.

Official tilesets are nice, but claiming that there is no need to use player made tilesets just is over the top.
