EYECANDY
This is the only conversion of Crysillis available right now. Although it has most of the JJ1 Crysillis tiles, it’s missing the flashing arrows which a JJ1 level really needs. Everything else still looks fine though.
7.5/10
USABILITY
Not all the tiles are masked correctly. The bright yellow crystals are not masked meaning that they cannot be used as platforms. Even with this problem, you still do have enough tiles to make a good level (which I’m making with this set right now). There is no textured background though you do still have the original JJ1 style BG. Text signs are added but the JJ1 signs are also missing. Also in the set is the scenery blocks which every level needs. This set could also do with the V & H Poles as there isn’t really anything to use for them.
8/10
TOTAL SCORE: 15.5/20 = 7.75 (ROUNDED TO 7.8)
SUMMARY – GOOD POINTS
*Great looking Crysillis tiles.
*Contains enough tiles to make a good level.
*Contains all the scenery blocks.
BAD POINTS
*Some tiles are missing including flashing arrows, V & H Poles & JJ1 Signs.
*Bright yellow Crystals not masked
RANK: C+ = VERY GOOD

While this set is missing some tiles, there are still plenty of tiles which can be used to make a good level. As I’ve given this way over 6.5 my DR is YES!
WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!
Masking: No masking bugs, or were there… i dont remember but this conversion doesnt have one tile missing (that is used in JJ1) and i think i saw some new tiles or am i thinkin of the wrong tileset? Nothing missing here.
Layer possibilities: I dont see a way that layers 6,2 or 1 can be used but more than usual is possible to use. Nice background and like the pezrock original one. There are many ways to use this tileset and this is one of my favourites.
JJ1 pezrock to this: On this one it has better graphics, and i think i recall more tiles or new ones and also like JJ1 Pezrock, this tileset rocks.
Other stuff: This tileset rocks, and it is simple to use. The only thing that brings it down is no music, i really like the Pezrock music, someone else uploaded it later at some point but it took me a while to find.
Overall: this tileset rocks!
I can’t see the level in the JCS because it’s password protected.
Good conversion. download recommedation.
Really good looking and everything, but you lose 0.5 point for not masking those golden crystals. Don’t care about it though. A must-get for all who like JJ1-conversions!
A funny level. The eyecandy is tested by somebody? Well, he dit that good, because the eyecandy is good. At some points you have one long piece, I only have to hold down the fire button and the shift button. You have also put down a new enemie in Diamondus I see, a Floating Lizard and a Raven! It’s nice when I see new enemies at titlesets, because that adds fun.(Only Norm Turtles and Bees get’s boring, doensn’t it?) The layer 3 is used well, at that long piece I say at layer 3 another long piece, I like that! Only the level is a bit easy, a textboard says:,,Jump!”
well, I only have to jump and I am on the next part. And another textboard says:,, Where is the exit, find it fast!” Then I just walkt to the right and yep there as the exit. But the end boss is nice,(Devan robot boss)at the beginning he said:,, Moo” What a cow he is, isn’t he? I also like when you put the year in your level when it was maked, then I can see if Jazz Jackrabbit buyers have imprufed there levels. Well, you have realy done that!
A 6.5 will be a bit low, but the download is reccomend.
CELL, you %$&^!#, you cant rate one level 3 times!!!
A realy “rich” tileset in 2 ways:
1- Exelent
2- A lot of silver and gold :)
I PASSED. NOT INTERESTING.
(You should have passed on the rating as well if you have not played this. -Trafton)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
short level, the music is annoyng at first, but better later.
TIP TO ALL YOU KOKO HEADS, WHO WILL PLAY THIS LEVEL:when your jazz, use your SUPER JUMP to destroy the raven.
NISE LEVEL.
I didnt know, that mofs are stronger than DEAD turtles :P[This review has been edited by GAMER]
The level is ok, to short and easy. There couldof been a bigger variety of enemies. The eyecandy, its fine but to confusing at times. I couldnt tell what was solid and what was backround eyecandy which made me get hurt by a skeleton by charging at what i thought was a wall. Anywayz, not enough ammo and food, cut back on the gemz ok plz thnx. Also, level sometimes to bare and had no real point to it. (What where all the coins for, may I ask?)
Other than that, its better than some, worse than others though. Download reccomendation?Maybe, depends on what type of jj2 person you are….
Very good conversion, but Onag could make a moving platform…
I never liked crysilis that much. To brown and yellow, but I wont take any marks of for that. I do really think some of them tiles should of been masked properly, not that much of a minus. Otherwise its a good conversion. Download it if ya feel like it.
I love conversions…..
I used to think Pezrock wasn’t exciting, but now I see differently.
There are a lot of good stuffs in the Pezrock tileset for making a good JJ2 level.
Good pick on the tileset, and excellent conversion!
9!
Cool. But actually I want a tileset with a Xtra lvl.
Don’t get discouraged. I think they aren’t bad. They may have some slight eyecandy troubles, but overall they’re not bad. When my first level got a 1, I kept making them. Never loose the faith.
