Haha, I somehow passed by this program by clicking too many links.. It works fine for a 2006 utility and does it’s job, besides Modplug Tracker supporting J2B’s for years now and Bass.dll giving a more accurate touch to all mods while played through JJ2+.
I have a weird problem with this program: It runs flawlessly on a desktop computer running Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit, and yet a Dell Latitude D830 laptop running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit cannot run it at all.
I honestly have no idea why one computer accepts it without complaining at all and the other arbitrarily decides to reject it outright.
What the hell is going on?
BTW: I have followed the instructions perfectly and in exactly the same manner on both computers, and I have played the same songs in both cases, from the same directory and path, under the same compatibility settings.
Hmmm, @NovaStar: see, the age of a computer does not depend on its system of operation. For example, I have Windows XP Professional, but my computer is quite old, I bought it about 4 or 5 years and until now it crashed 3 times and it needed to reinstall the Windows, and it’s working hard, I’m spending just much time to write a review and to post it. I really smile if I atualy post one with up to 400 characters. So I think I’ll not install this add-on, only because I’m afraid that It will crash again. I’m a realy big fan of Jazz2. I keep up to 2200 files that has reference to it. I think I have some GBs in my Jazz folder. ~Me, the silly one
I liked this [I am referring to all 5 parts in this here review.] upload. And I’m sorry that you’re leaving. Hope you come back again!
The five parts contain Jazz1-accurate songs, which are handy when creating levels themed with JJ1. No glitchy spots, no messed up instruments, this pack[s]‘s got it all! However, some very minute [very much so] deviationson notes does occur, but not too badly. A good addition to the J2O community.
this would go great if someone ever made something to modifier the game to play mp3 ‘s or what have you as songs
I hope of the future of Jazz…
This is really good beause you can save in QoB
So, you only have to apply this once and then you can close the program?
the minimized level change owns sooo much
the port change is ok
the last thing seems just weird and not very useful
Nice music =)
Bjarni: if you use a .j2b file for music, you aren’t required to type the .j2b extension behind the file, but if you want to use some other file type as music you have to type “music.s3m” or “music.it” in the level editor
(replace the word music with the name of the file)
What about the tune Exoticus? And please shorten the bonus level name. I can’t fit it on the music title at the level options
Are you two absolutely sure that you followed the instructions in about.txt?
The access violation is necessary and isn’t actually an error, for the reason given in this post by UF: http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/showpost.php?p=347764&postcount=1
i tried to run the program but it doesn’t work. after the program starts up an error note tells me to quit. what is causing this to happen and what can i do to fix it?
This doesn’t work on TSF:
I thought it was a thingy to get the lazer shield running on TSF. Instead, I don’t even have the laser shield on there.
When I also tried running JJ2, I found tht I had no lighting effects (and the Ambient Lighting option is on).
Some music files can be very large, and can give certain levels amnesia errors. This patch is to mostly get around that.
Can you explain what exactly this does, and where it’s effects can be seen? I wouldn’t mind having it, but I don’t feel nay use cos my computer is pretty fast anyway.
Does this work on Windows 2000 computers?
If it doesn’t I can’t use it.
Woo, first to post. Woops, sorry FQuisty. But there’s info! Don’t edit!
.:EDIT:. Never mind.
It couldn’t patch my j2tsf.exe :((
Now that we can finally review without scores again, I want to say that this is a wonderful program. Now everybody should have the chance to live a crashless life. Good job.
