Hmm, i like this program BUT if i reduce colors, i get if i use this BMP for my tileset, if i play, the color black (BG color for tilesets) at EACH in BMP black colored fields…
Why this is not INVISIBLE?
What i do wrong?
HELP!
But else is this program VERY good! 9.2/10
EDIT: I found the problem! So i give now 10/10. Make EVERY TIME the first color of the Pallete BLACK!
Then it should work.
PS.: Sorry for my bad english, i’m germany and not very good in english…
i don’t get this program,i read the “read me” and everything and I still dont get
it, Could you possibly post up a video of how to use it? That would make it a whole lot easier for me
Yuck, i was making a tile set. i used this thing and then BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
it’s turned to a pile of peuk. More than half my colors dissapeared and then worst of all the stuff that you should be able to go through ( empty spots) they are solid!!
Whats wrong?
Heh… DDWndClass rulez :D
OMG! lots of anticrash progz which I have to try to break… ;)
This utility file makes colour reduction as easy as drawing a cloud in MSPaint!! It has palettes for all palette events, which are easy to use and require no palette work to put them in you tileset palettes. An absolute must-have for 24-bit tileset makers!!
[Unsupported rating (10.0) clearance. There was not enough support given for the rating. – Cooba]I found the Neoac is a great program because it stops unwanted hacks to your server. Although there is now prog. that bypass neoac and ultimately crash servers ;(…If I am correct the crashing prog. is asd2…it would help if you could make a better version of this prog. to stop asd 2 ;P
I am giving this a 7.
[Rating (7) clearance. You need to give more support for the rating and saying “I am giving this a #” is not enough. ~Cooba]
Nice since my computer at home is a 2000. Not.
A GUI will definitely come eventually. I wanted to get the core functionality working first though, because that part is more difficult than making a GUI for it.
I’d like to see a fully working filter like this done with a cool GUI one day. This isn’t even close to what I had in mind, but its a start ;P Gj on the app. First of its kind. I haven’t tested it yet, but I’ve seen it in action before. It sort of creates the same atmosphere when J2M (console) was first tested in AB7 server.

What are you talking about there are a lot of other (better) anticrash programs
MSCOREE.DLL Is not way for my computer!!
(Unsupported rating (6) removal. I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to say, but it sounds as if you can’t find a .dll to get the program to work… if so, why did you rate it? ~Violet)
The included palettes are also very helpful, yay for them :).
As for larks comment about the microsoft .net framework. Everyone is going to have to download it eventually. It’s a great thing because it works cross platform, I already had it installed myself, and I should think most people will have it installed .. at least somewhat soon.
This program is good, but not incerdible. To reduce colors, you can use “paint” :P.
But ithink, that program will by useful
[Unsupported rating removak. You reinstated the rating but without improving your arguments for this rating. Please do not do this again. – FQuist]
This program is great. It fixes one of the most annoying problems you’ll face while making a tileset – color reduction. Unless you’re really good at it, color reduction will result in one of three things – a slightly worse looking set, a much worse looking set, and a downright repulsive looking set. With the help of TilesetPal, you can make a slightly worse looking set in a matter of minutes, palette events included.
I tested this program on a tileset that used about 6,000 colors, and it looked almost perfect when finished. It took about two minutes in all, too. With this program, not only can you do easy color reduction for tilesets, but it will also help to make basic palettes for your sets so you don’t have to do the annoying copy & paste work with other programs. This means people no longer have an excuse for not including palette events in their tilesets. Yay! =D
The only major problem I found with this program is that it has somewhat buggy .pcx support. I loaded a .pcx file, and it got completely distorted. I converted it to .bmp and then it worked fine. Also, having to download that file from Microsoft was an inconvenience, but nothing too bad. I can’t say the same for people with 56K though, since the file was 20-something megabytes.
In conclusion, this program is the best thing to happen to tileset makers since DTR. Quick and easy, useful, and it works great. Couldn’t ask for more.
I dun have time now, so I’ll just try to extend this silly review later. For now, eat the 7.7.
A very good battle for a first with really neat eyecandy and OK weapons placement.
The lvl’s got loads of tubes and warp stuff and other sciency stuff and it looks well and at the same time provide the player with some faster means of transport.
The eyecandy really differs from some other lvls, what I’m trying to say is that there’s so called 2 in 1 eyecandies so it means that it’s also functioning as an decoration and also as something else which you don’t see in every single lvl these days…
Gameplay’s also pretty good with springs in the right place and there’s also plenty of unpredictable warps and suckertubes around. However, I don’t think you’ve used the bands to their fully cabability Monolith and you could’ve added more of’em to make the lvl better.
Well, overall, this lvl’s got neat eyecandy, good gameplay and OK weapons placement. It’s an 8! :-)
Cheers,
White Rabbit.
This is a very good looking level, great eyecandy, and I like this tileset too. Weapon placement is ok I think. But you still have to battle in it, that why I think there could be some more space and not too much warps.
Overall I like this lvl, good job.
