I like it, it is cool.
The eyecandy dit out very well.
The gamplay is also good.
If you want to shoot your friend or something, download this!
3 levels using Mez and Jungle.
Mez: I agree with Violet about the paths. Nice eyecandy, some bugs, but who cares? (Me! weh.)
2nd ctf: Lol attraction, and only hop and hop platforms. Very linear.
Battle: OK. Too many carrots indeed. Okay, eyecandy is ok too. All is ok here Overall Ok ;P
Download reccomedation.
Two CTF levels using Mez0..2, I think, and a Battle using Jungle.
The first CTF is a decent level, though I think one base path is a bit easier then the other. Interesting eyecandy, despite a few tile bugs.
The second CTF is very plain, a bunch of flat platforms. There are some ambient sounds, which as the readme said, was the main attraction of this level.
The last level, the Battle, is ok, but it has too many carrots. Still, it’s interesting.
You probably should download it, even if your only interest is what it says in the text strings.
Man, i remember this. This is realy one of the most awesome levels created with the ‘Holiday Hare’ tilesets. It uses the music from the JJ1 planet candion, a pretty well fiting tune. I found a few dea ends, but i dont think that is ‘TOO’ much of a problem. The ammo placement is also pretty good, very well balenced, so that you’ll always be only a few steps away from a block of amunition. I realy like the way Rocky used the tileset. At the bottem of the levels, it realy looks like a snowed in canyon or something like that. They way the snow covered rooftops where used as piles of snow was pretty neat. I would like to give this level a ‘high’ 8.0 points and a BiG dOwNlOaD rEcOmEnDaTiOn.
Its O.K.
Only like Evilmike said…its hard to move…
Cool lvl. I’m too lazy to say anything about it so just read the other reviews.
:-P
Download this lvl. It’s worth it.
I like the idea of posting old lvls. New players can see some of the classics like Carrotus Squash and Mystic Legend lvls.
A good beach lvl used for my favourite kinda game: CTF. No new and surprising stuff (But hey it’s hard to come up with new things, cos all things allready have been invented). It’s good to see someone using the beach Tileset for Multiplay. And what can I say ‘bout this one? Everything looks good and a must have for CTF players who like to play something else than Diamondus CTF.
It’s good enuf for about 8 players. No exciting new things in it. A regular Xmas lvl, but none the less one of the best lvls to download using this tileset.
This is a level i have seen many times, Its good, the tileset and music are good(for christmas that is :)) and the eyecandy is good too.
Heya, checking in for my not so weekly level rating.
Installation went fine, but without a readme! How blasphemous! ;P
INSTALLATION RATING: =
Eyecandy. Creative, but lack of technical “cleanness”. Also, looks almost unacceptably bad in Low Detail, but I’m not marking down for that.
EYECANDY: 2.5/3
Navigation? Sort of creative, as both bases were on both sides. It was pretty smooth, but irritating at times. Base routes, sucked, though. There were a decent amount of secrets, so that helped somewhat. Weapons seemed to be in good order, but not great enough to have such a balance as that you could duel in it, or something. Good for a fun romp. Carrots, though, sucked pretty bad in placement, etc.
WEAPONS: 1.5/2
NAVIGATION/CARROTS: 2.7/4
SUBTOTAL: 4.2/6
Didn’t feel really polished, but it felt like good, old rustic fun. Not really any significant problems here (plus fun text strings, kiddies!).
OVERALL “FEELING”: 0.9/1
D/L reccommendation. You might get a kick out of this rerelease, especially if the old Alzheimer’s hasn’t kicked in yet. ;)
TOTAL SCORE: 7.4/10
ROUNDED SCORE: 7.5/10
Hmm. A level. As i said, I’m not an expert-CTF-rater.
Well. The level is a CTF level, not too big, not too small, but with some unfilled spaces. Also i think the springs are a bit overdid. Some tiles are not placed greast (Not fully completed scenery sometimes), but it has some kool pointless texts :) and the weapons placement is great. IMO it’s not a good idea too place electro blaster ammo in your level (don’t ask me why :) but that doesn’t really matter. If you like CTF, you must download this :)[This review has been edited by Fl@$h aka BlewMeUp]
Kool. We all know it :)
Kool design, some eyecandy, classic level, good fitting background music, Fun, downlaod recommendation.
“Ancient Dungeon CtF” is another very good level creation by RockyR.
The design is very open and therefore fluently playable (which is great :-). I also like the use of the Castle tileset. Pretty original and good looking! The weapon selection is very neat either. Only the CTF base placement is a bit questionable. But, as you may know, i’m not a big CTF fan…so what do the CTF experts say?
All in all, i recommend this as a GREAT LEVEL DOWNLOAD for everyone! You’ll like this (7.5 because of the originality)!
“A White Christmas” was one of the first custom made levels that used the “Holiday Hare 98” set from the game with the same name. And it still rocks!
It has a very circular and fluent design with no dead-ends or other useless stuff. There is some nice eyecandy (not too much though) and overall, this map will make a fun battle (its not too large which can be quite fortunate if your server lacks of players)!
Only thing i’d change is the background music. “White Hare” is of superior quality than the song from HH94 (or was it from 95?) and would have fitted a tad better.
Conclusion: “A White Christmas” is one of the few real classics you have to choose from when the christmas season comes! No doubt, this gets a strong DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATiON! Get it before its too late! (very high seven points!)
A very funky level using the hard-to-do colonial tileset!!! The music selection by F quist fits perfectly here.
Download this immediately!
