I think we can already see some trends emerging, in the sense that those available sprites which look somehow generic – shield diamonds, bridges, birds – are going to be used to create new events, while the existing stuff seems generally content to remain the way you might expect it to. This level does contain some inventive switching of behaviors – a giant gem speeds up your music at one point, and some glistening yellow specks restore your health – but for the most part it’s a fairly standard JJ1 level, some experimentation with multiple paths, which has a little fun with creating strange moving events near the end.
I like some of the ideas in this level more than others… the rabbits seem somewhat familiar, however replaced, but again, that sort of thing is probably going to be standard until someone gives us the ability to create/insert new animations into level files. I’m not positive about the author’s claim that this is longer than most JJ1 levels, either. Most of its length seems to stem from the fact that you can go in multiple directions a lot, although they always seem to end in dead-ends, allowing only one final route through the level which would seem somewhat quick if taken by itself.
I noticed a number of masking bugs in the level, as well, although this is somewhat of a minor point. J1CS does not allow you (I believe) to view the collected mask of a level, only individual tiles as they are being placed, so it was probably easy for the author not to notice that many of the walls in the levels had unmasked portions. Fortunately this never affected gameplay, but still should have been noticed and fixed.
The Return Home, is in every sense, an early JJ1 level. Standards have not yet been developed and the idea behind new events is “whatever doesn’t look horrible”. Presumably, unless J1CS somehow dies off, our level making psyches will eventually mature and this will be seen as a childish attempt, too much in common with the original game, perhaps, not enough experimentation, eyecandy too bland. (Granted, Diamondus is somewhat limited in terms of originality, as far as I can tell.) So be it. A first step is important.
AtomicFeline’s creation offers nothing special in terms of level design, and is not particularly inspiring by itself. it is a good effort. Hopefully more shall follow.

Good eyecandy and stuff. But the second point is a bit “quik” finished, too bad of that… Good music well chose. Not a very good story, try to work on good storys.

To bad in the end the eyecandy is ugly. Try to work at least 3 or 4 hours on a level. Funny level names by the way. :)

Download reccomend.

Nice, but short and bad placement of enemies(What a crab does on Diamondus?)

At first, I thought that a battle level using the Tube Electric tileset might suffer from being too bland eyecandy and gameplay-wise. And I was right. “Out of Power” is a slightly above average battle level, mainly because navigation and weapon placement are pretty good. However, eyecandy was predictably uninteresting, and it looked like nearly every level I’ve played in Tube Electric. It’s worth a download if you’re a rabid battle fan, but others might want to avoid this level.

This level is great! It has many new
ideas, and as Aiko and iCeD said, "A tad too short." but not much.

Overall,THE RED DIAMOND is a must download
for SP fans!

I must admit, its not perfect, but if there were fewer bees, then the level would just be the stupidest one around. The main reason for few weapons was because all the other ones can get bees very nicely, and we don’t need that. The right path had to be hard, because it was longer. The more the treat the harder it gets.

"The Red Diamond" is a pretty cool single player level that has a good layout and very good eyecandy. Some ideas for using certain tiles are new and original and if you like small details you will like this.
However, i found it a bit boring to play (maybe thats because i’ve seen too many Diamondus SP levels) and as iCED said, "a tad too short" :-)
Very low eight points but still a MUST DOWNLOAD for everyone.

GROOVY! I love the eye candy in this, and the design was great. It uses a lot of eye candy tricks, but the Diamondus set can still be pushed further. :-)

Only problem was it was a tad short and it needed more weapons.

Oh well, to all SP fans: GET THIS NOW! :-)

High 8 points.. almost 9.

No level EVER reachs perfection (even if three of my favorite level makers work on it).

First, I think the eyecandy was used wrong.. when you have black slant across the place, you can see parts of yourself.. to me that looked kinda weird.

Short. Not enough weapons.

In one spot, you can drop down.. and there’s a green spring right down there.. with a LIZARD next to it. My complaint about that is that if you don’t know the LIZARD is there, you’re gonna get hurt. I hate not being able to avoid being hurt :)

Bees were nice.. a tad overused I thought :)

I’d recommend this download.

Not perfect, but hey, you came close.
