Includes two CTF levels, 7th Lava Fall and Jehlevator! Also includes 870 tile tileset, and two music files.
city dark dusk factory industrial metropolis mystic legends technology
Very nice tileset with lots of eyecandy
But as the previous reviewers said its rated for the CTF levels not the tileset…
I would give it a 10 as a tileset
But the levels aren’t perfect…(8)
(10 + 8) / 2 = 9
Nice work. Aldo u get kind lost of in it u know, because of colors in back ground…But u did a good job, and I respect it.
Regards from RC Duke
[Review changed to quick review.]
These levels are pretty poor held up to today’s standards. It seems people got excited about the tileset used in these levels rather than the levels themselves. After all, they aren’t just the example levels, they’re the focus of this upload.
Agree with PJ.
7th Lava Fall, the level, is the quintessence of awful. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of a worse CTF level whose layers tile correctly. The Jehlevator is slightly better but not much, plus it’s tiny. You never want to play either of these. So why the download recommendation? The zip contains 7th Lava Fall.j2t.
First off, I would like to say that these should be rated as CTF, as they were uploaded, and the tileset is not the centerpiece of this upload.
Secondly, I would like to say that I obviously am rating this lower because I am rating the CTF levels. Not only that, but it has became apparent to me that I obviously like even the levels less than anyone here, but anyway, I will go on, and try to gather some basis for my rating, since it probably seems a bit strict.
Here are two levels by Jeh, and a tileset. Since I will be rating the levels as the upload type specifies, my grade probably will seem a tad low. And it is. Because I am not a fan of these levels in any respect. The flow on it is far below average, the eyecandy is fantastic, but that does not make up for all of the other sins that this level makes, and the weapon placement is just mediocre. The more intersting part of this download is the included tileset, 7th Lava Fall, which absolutely and totally pwns. Unfortunately, I can not rate the tileset as much as the level since this was designated as Capture the Flag, so I will have to give this a 6.2. I know the rating seems very low compared to the others, but I can not say that I am fond of this level at all. The tileset is absolute 0wnage, but the level is simply pretty with little on the inside. I can see why people like the tileset so much and therefore rate as if they were rating the tileset…but…well…this was uploaded under Capture the Flag, and therefore it deserves to be rated as so.
The levels included are both of fairly medicore quality. Eyecandy is OK, but gameplay is just awful. I find no reason to recommend this download other than for those who really wish to get the tileset. I know this rating may seem terribly unfair, and it may be, but this IS the levels that should be rated, as the uploading class states. Download recommendation for those who do not have the tileset, but avoid for those who do. The levels are simply extra fluff that will simply add to download time.
Nice job on the tileset, but the levels are…bleh. In conclusion, this is a great tileset. But it should have been uploaded under tileset. Then I could say this is a 9.0 tileset with some OK example levels that are good enough for a quick play. Instead, my rating is 6.2. As always, upload classification can make all the difference.[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
A simple to use tileset that shocks me at how brilliant it is.
Edit: Change rating due to biasness (is that even a word)
I will now give myself a headache by writing a simply long review.
Tiles: 2.4/2.5
The tiles were awesome, i mean the color and the texture and all, and how they were drawn. The buildings, steel pipes, boxes and fences and things for eyecnady use and all! Great! Although the top of the animating lava is black for some reason, and i feel some tiles are missing out, such as poles and destruct blox and all.
Useability:2.5/2.5
I know i should of put this later on in the review, but i simply thought i would forget so i put it here. The tileset is very useable, and levels made with it can have a large variety of style. The user friendly part is very good, tiles placed well and all, nothing wrong, a very simple to use tileset.
Animations:2.4/2.5
The lava animations were well, but not the best they can be. They sometimes looked a bit choppy, and strange, so that took out a small part. The acid on the barrels animated well.
SMALL EDIT: There are actually destruct bloxs, they are jsut made to look like barrels and boxes to fit in with the tileset.
Eyecandy: 2.5/2.5
The eyecandy can be filled in with buildings, boxes and stuff and fans and all. Although the eyecandy here is not the type you would find in some of agama’s tileset, its probably one of the bestt it can be.
Texture: The color of the tiles, and the accuracy when drawing them was aweseom and deserved more. The metal and boxes look so real and life like, not the lava though. The tileset just looks real and so cool.
Every thing else: I dont know what i missed, but the tileset rox and this gets a 2.5 because i have no complaints.
The basic summary of the levels: Tileset used well, but levels could of been better and lacked a few stuff.
Closest rounding: Probably 9.7, what im about to give it.
Further Comments: This is by far in my top ten list, and one of the best donwlpoada\s on j20. I hope dethman keeps making those high quality tilesets, because i look forward to downloading them and creating levels with them.
For everyone who missed the whole point of my review: Just donwload this and see yourself. [This review has been edited by Blackraptor]
7th Level Fall and Jehlevator are two great, but confusing CTF levels.
First, I’ll start off with the main feature of this pack… 7th Lava Fall. This level’s long, linear, and confusing. It is more like a misleading circuit, than anything else. The tileset is used very well here. The fact that it is linear doesn’t take the rating down; its a CTF level. At first, it may seem impossible to get to the other base, but then you’ll get the hang of it.
The Jehlevator is especially amusing. The level is very small, but with many people, you’ll have a great time.
Also, this pack contains standalone versions of the levels, where the same level plays after it ends.
The design of the 7th Lava Fall is what brings the rating down a little. I don’t think anyone would ever not get confused…
I highly recommend downloading this pack. However, the other guys who have already reviewed this one should have convinced you, by now. =P

Also, if you want to get an idea of what the tileset is like, you can check out the screenshot first.

Now go read the Bible.
w00p! Rux0rness levelness! Download imediately! Made by the most l33t guy ever!
Dethman basically knows my review already..
Very good eyecandy, very good tileset..
The layout is very good.
A 10. :)
Okay, i hope wont regret this. Nine points(!) for this awesome tileset/pack (no celebrity bonus point, sorry).
Its very large and features a lot of good-looking tiles. The whole industrial look and feel (supported by the great atmosphere created by the music) of this pack makes it very very l33t.
The two example/CTF levels are also pretty cool: the "Jehlevator" is a bit small, though.
However, EVERYONE should immediately download and extract this ZiP to his or her Jazz dir. Its one of the best homecooked things i’ve ever seen.
Maybe this aint fair (heh)
Yes, i love the tileset.. i love it even more then the CyberSpaz tiles..
and also some good old typical DethMan levels..
and put them together and ya get one of the best downloads ever =)
This is one of my only ratings that’s above 9. This tileset it truly awesome in every way. :-)
The two CTF levels are good. The 7th Lava Fall one is a tad confusing though, so .5 taken away because of that. I like both CTF levels equally. Anyways, just download already. :-)
I don’t review alot of levels but this pack is so awesome I just have to review it.
First of all, this is the coolest and very best tileset I have ever seen. Full of eyecandy and animations. The tileset itself is almost worth about 9 without the levels. But because of the levels the rating won’t be at 9, it will be higher. The levels really show what you can do with this awesome tileset and a little bit more. I have checked this level out with JCS and I can’t find one tiny little tile that has bad eyecandy.
And Aiko, you said the Jehlevator is a bit small but I have never read that there is a specific level size that make ratings go higher. Try think of it as this, if you had to make a level with the same size as Jehlevator, would you be able to make it even close to that good? I don’t think so. Making small levels that are very good is very hard, although it doesn’t seem very hard for ML… ;)
My rating is 9.8 but since I have to round off it’s a 10. The reason why It’s not really 10 is because 7th Lava Fall is a bit confusing as iCeD mentioned.
Keep up the good work ML and continue making levels!
It has everything. "Best" is the right word to tell what is it.
An amazing tileset and a good level pack. Dethman’s CTF level is a fine level that could possibly be easier to navigate. Jeh’s level is nice and small but isn’t the same as a level like DW.
Still an amazing download.[This review has been edited by Bobby aka Dizzy]
Okay
Set can earn 5 points and level can earn five points:
5 points for the set.
3.5 point for the level. (I think it’s a bit empty every once in a while
1 point for the bonus level :)
Jesus Rules, Read the Bible, Download this! :)
Awesome tileset and level! Well, I gave it 9.5 for one reason…
I’d give a rating of 9 for levels, and 10 for tileset, so this is what I’d rate it.
Great job!
yee haw!
this is about the best level ive ever seen.. funny, i thought Dethman was Ded.
ah well.
the level rocks
download it
nothing much else to say…….. except for 5 words:
download
A must have. The tileset is superb, the music(s) are excelent, and the layout is perfect, down to the last intricite detail. A Must Have!
P.S. Look out for a new Fury level with this level, and I’ll spoil it. it’s called “The Steel Pyramid of Fury”
To get a rating this high, a set has to look better than the original’s. only 3 authors have done this. If you haven’t downloaded it, then download it or stick your head in a bucket of sand.
Oh, and my level using this set is coming soon :p.
This tileset indeed is great, as is are the levels. 7th lava fall is a bit big (well im not sure, it seems so when playing:)
Good indeed, but the gameplay itself could really use a tweak.
This level and tileset was very cool indeed. But i am giving it and 9 for the confusion of it,there was also to many tiles in the air and they were annoying to jump to.I could never find the base when i played either…But over all this was a very cool tileset!!!:)
The tileset and both of the levels are so cool! It actually looks confusing, but after a few plays, you’ll get the hang of it.
Download now!
The tileset is one of the best tilesets around.
The levels included are awsome too.
Excellent! Easy to use expect for animating lava. A dark techno feel gives this a great affect. Keep it up.

Max levels: 12 max

Ok, I know I’m a ittle bit late with my review but that’s cause I didn’t even know these CTF lvls even existed since last week .;-P
Now that I see that short reviews is the new fashion on this lvl, I’ve decided to write a short one to. :-)
Two great lvls, one awesome tileset and music that sounds it came from a racing game (I like that).
Need I say more? Download NOW.
Am i late?:-D
This is by far my second favorite ML tileset.(My 1st favorite was mezmerize:-P)I dont have much to ad to the other, say, 28 reviews:-D. Go download this righ away, even though ML does`nt live anymore:-(.
~>CelL<
Just fine with me…
Fëårlè$sCC.
I will always be CC.
Did you know? This pack rulez! It has an awesome tileset in typical Dethman style, a rocking huge level with that tileset, and it’s CTF. I like CTF levels, so that’s nice ;). The Jehlevator is weird, but still original, so that also cool. Well, this gets some 9,2 from me. Now I got to learn my test, so bye-bye :)
This is one cool ctf lvl…
I like it, but most of the guys i play CTF with think this is too hard.
most of ‘em cant find the bases in 7th lava fall.
But i think this is one of the coolest CTF lvl’s around
~STEELIX
{sorry for the bad spelling}
Installation went smoothly, with a great readme!
INSTALLATION RATING: +
This is a very well done urban tileset mixed in with a sort of apocolyptic lava mixed in. The mapping takes full use of the tileset – top notch.
EYECANDY: 3/3
Weapon and carrot balance are decent. The navigation is good too, but nothing extroardinary.
WEAPONS: 1.5/2
NAVIGATION/CARROTS: 2.7/4
SUBTOTAL: 4.2/6
A true classic – it showcases the effort that should be put into all levels.
OVERALL “FEELING”: 1/1
This level easily gets a download reccomendation, if not just for the tileset.
TOTAL SCORE: 8.2/10
ROUNDED SCORE: 8.2/10[This review has been edited by SteelTalon]
Oh. My. God. I don’t even like CTF levels that much, but I downloaded this level simply because it r0xX0rs so much! INCREDIBLENESS AND VARIOUS OTHER STUFF!
Great set (but that doesn’t count)
Horrible level (6.5)
TOO COOL! R0x0r!
I’m lazy so ill just say very good.
God’s tileset. My favorite.
Nice, it’s not get boring…
It’s good, but you get bored with it. I downloaded this at Jazz2 City.
sorry LING BROKEN 2 jazz2city is no longer
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

I Dont Says More
(Unsupported rating removal. I am getting really tired of this, Jarno. READ THE RULES. ~Violet)
Cool ctf :)
(Unsupported rating (10) removal. Thanks for noticing that this is CTF, though. ~Violet)
One Word: WOW!
This tileset is really cool, nothing else needed.
Download this. Or you are dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo (etc) med
Done some crap in the previous years, sorry about that.
7th Lava Fall (CTF Level):
Gameplay: This level is huge, the most annoying part to get back to the Red base is very hard to get. I Was searching to get at the Red Base and I done 2 warps, thats alot. Without Sucker tube and warps is impossible to get to each other. But the good thing is that level is very challenging and huge duels will be success.
base. 10/25 points
Eyecandy: Not much eyecandy. Just weird we are moving to right. That huge thing is moving to right, thats pointless. There is also something lava-like thing in the ground that is transparent. It looks very ugly. 9/25 points
Ammo placement: It has almost great Ammo Placement, but there are alot empty spaces and
WTF THERE ARE CHOCOLATES? 18/25
Bugs: I Didn’t find any bugs. 25/25
TOTAL: 10+9+18+25=62/10=6,2 – Okay, if you want CTF party with 32 players would be good, but if you plan to doing it just for 3 VS 3 or 2 VS 2, oh boy, dont do that
I’m not here to rate the levels, my attention is on the tileset they use.
Art Style:
Nothing short of superlative. The fact that the city blocks are ripped from UT isn’t a problem for me. Every time I play UT3 now, I just see 7th Lava Fall dotted in around the place. Even Desolation has to give way to defeat here. An almost perfect 9.9 here.
Diversity of Tiles:
What can I say, plenty of little tools here. It’s so easy to make trains with this tileset, and all of the train levels look amazing. Of course, the possibilities don’t end there. I used this tileset for HWS Altair once, and I found so much to take advantage of in this tileset. Most of the tiles mesh so easily, and nothing is off-limits to the JCS’er. Wipes the floor with its opponents with a 9.7.
Layer Management:
This is where Desolation has the edge, since this wasn’t the primary goal of 7th Lava Fall. Of course, all tilesets have weaknesses, but hey, 7th doesn’t trip over itself here.
Have fun with the 8.8 this one picks up.
Environment:
So many options are present. Customisable ships and other vehicles, twisting pipes, lava streams, lava pools, fans, metal beams and goodness knows what else all comes together to make a peerless tileset. If that wasn’t enough, turn Mask mode on, and look at the mask messages. Yes, Jesus saves, and Dethman has infused the truth into this tileset, netting a 9.7 in the process.
Result:
Art Style – 9.9
Diversity of Tiles – 9.7
Layer Management – 8.8
Environment – 9.7
Total —> 9.525
Final Rating: 9.7
I may have said that Desolation transcends this, but Desolation 7th doesn’t, as it obscures the Christian messages and doesn’t look as good as either of its two originators. That and Desolation just scrapes a victory, only because of the increased versatility and the fact that it was made by a team.
(Unfortunately, this is not a tileset upload, although your thoughts on the tileset used by the levels are certainly appreciated. ~Violet)
