Way back when, I was hosting some server, and we were having some discussion. I said “Blame the chickens” at some point. However, the chickens got killed, so I couldn’t say that anymore. I resorted to “Blame the diamonds”, because they were more indestructable. Then Dreama (who was there) asked if I had found a diamond mine. DING DING DING. Off I went, and created the tileset “Diamond Mine”. It had a mere 100 tiles, and sucked. So, a few months ago, I came across it, and decided to remake it. This is the result. It has pretty much everything from the original, along with a lot of new stuff. And because I’m not Disguise, I won’t be uploading the original, 100 tile, awful thingy. So there.
Anyway, in case you didn’t figure it out, this tileset depicts a Mine, along with some surrounding countryside. The mine workers are pretty much all rabbits, so expect to run into some.Really nice tileset, Violet! It’s a mine and there’s some grassland. Some dwarfs from Disney, and very nice Spaz ‘n Jazz ‘n Lori things like signs and minecars. Eyecandy is very good, There are 6 and 7 mountains. Grafics, and all what you need to build a very nice Mine level. Download this now.
Stiletto, read EvilMikes newspost.
This is a very nifty tileset. It shows a mine with diamonds, dwarfs, mine cars, nice naimations, torches, cool Jazz, Spaz and Lori statues, a outdoor part, and very much eyecandy. Like Violets “Screenshut” tileset this uses much stuff taken out of screenies, but it’s better. Way better. Well, I don’t know how to describe… Must download!
Well, a nice tileset. The textures on the stones and ground are good, but the shapes not really. The layer 6 and 7 mountains are NOT beautifull and it has many screenshot/not-self-drawn things in it, for example, the 7 dwarfs from Snow White/Disney, that’s pretty ugly IMHO. Also the destruct blocks, exit and text signs are from the official sets and the extra eyecandy stuff mainly consist of jazz, spaz and lori screenies.
A ‘mwah, but nice or something..” for this tileset/[This review has been edited by Piccolo aka SoulFire]
i love it. It has good textures, as piccolo said. The mountains…..i find very nice. they look like something Blade would make. and…..uh……i love it. get it.
Outstanding job!
Excellent tileset. I remember when you were testing it online. I’m not so great at reviewing anymore, but I’ll just give it what I feel is right. Mmkay?
wellit is really a nice setwith nice ideas like all the bunnys and gems although copuld the textures be better and many tiles are stolen .
Go on
Reerved for when I get home before I forget AGAIN. NWN is evil.
Anyways, a small comment so far, the set is good, nice textures and stuff, but there are ripped tiles (in my book you get a rating a lot lower than it deserves because of that). I would also liek to see some nice blending in the tiles. Now it almost seems to just swap from the one tile to the other without a nice ending. Needs to look more 3D. Great variation of extra eye candy though (if only a lot of them weren’t ripped).
I liked this set a lot.
First off, I like the jazz characters. There were lots of funny things like the “rip” car.
The signs on the wall were funny, like this mine follows all safety laws we wanted to.
The gems were cool, too. I liked the little gem transport on the wire. NO FREE SAMPLES!
cool effect with the destructable blocks! I think it looks like you used a texture in paint shop pro.
Of course, all sets have their ups AND downs, and this set isn’t perfect…
The mountains. Yes, the mountains were U G L Y!!! It looks like something I would make :P
The spikes didn’t look very sharp… Okay, so it doesn’t matter much, but still!
the dwarfs. They look bad, and they’re inside the ground in the example level:P
So, overall, I would give it an 8.2.
I don’t like your style too much.. Pretty boring tileset. Sorry.
