This is for all of you who want to make a tileset with a cool textured background who do not have a good program like Paintshop Pro or Photoshop. It’s basically a whole bunch of different textured backgrounds that you can use in just about any color you’d want. The file size is rather big, but I couldn’t reduce it to 256 colors since all the color would get messed up because there are so many used. Just copy and paste these out of your level and into your tileset. You can make up the pallette.
thank you This is what I needed to help me in making tilesets
[Then you probably didn’t mean to rate it a 2? ~Violet]
Those are THE laziest attempts at textured backgrounds I’ve ever witnessed. These, as noticeable on the first sight at the screenshots, are not much more than a hue change of the background texture used in most of JJ2 official tilesets. Lark is justified, though, because this thing is almost exactly 5 years old as I’m writing this. However, this getting a rating of 9 is something I wouldn’t make up on the most hardcore acid trip.
First of all this is a warez request. Second of all, if you like it, why did you give it such an awful rating?
First of all… it’s very handy. This is for the people that cant make Textures (look at me :p)So i give it a 7.7
(Rating removal. I am at a loss for why you gave a level 9.0 when you said 7.7. Normally, I let things like this slide if they are small. However, 1.3 is significant enough to require further interest. If you want to restore and/or correct your rating, feel free. -Trafton)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
Very usefull thanks a lot.
Try to make some in other style to :).
Yes. Very good idea. This contains one background in many colors. Classic, but… Very usefull!
(BTW, professionals have own textured background and they are better, but they are professional)[This review has been edited by Danyjel]
Good work Labratkid,
=)
This was an okay idea. Concept was all right, but excecution was not. You basically just recolored everything, into about 20 [or 30, or 40, or however many you used] different hues, pasted em all together, and sent them in to us. At first glance they look just fine. But, they are truly just ripoffs. I mean, like a bunch of other people said, it’s really not that good quality. So, I will give you a 4.0, with a dubious dl recommendation.
[WARNING IN ADVANCE TO TRAFTON: dubious means “unsure”. Just so you don’t go and remove the rating prematurely. :)]
I have to agree with what Cooba said. this is the laziest attempt you can do. Just by looking at the screenshots you can tell that the hues aren’t correct. I tired using them and they look horrible. Not only that but why is everything in one picture? I would have preferred each one to be in a different file. I give this a 1 because it simply doesn’t work.
thnx its very handy! by the way, (WR).
(Warez request / rating removal. Rating something that you find to be “very handy” so low is not exactly sense-making. In addition, warez is absolutely not tolerated on Jazz2Online. Never do this again. You receive a warning for this. -Trafton)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
