My first sucessful level pack Ive ever made, I am trying to make Rabbits in Time and Space (Which is NOT the sequel to Agent Jackrabbit) It features 4 different missions and about 12 gameplay levels. Along with cinematic levels. It also features an exclusive wide screen view.
Wow! For me, "Agent Jackrabbit" is still one of the Top 50 creations for Jazz2 ever made.
The pack features 18 unique single player levels using six different tilesets and six cool background music tunes.
Like many famous releases, this awesome pack has a storyline that guides the player through the single player levels and makes the whole thing much more enjoyable and original.
The levels themselves are full of new ideas and other cool stuff. Not to mention the great design and eyecandy in all of the maps (this pack really showed what’s possible with MEZ01).
As mentioned in the author’s description, "Agent Jackrabbit" was also one of the first releases (if not the first) that used the cimatic movie effect with the black beam, which creates a much deeper atmosphere.
Furthermore, the author included some very elite modules by famous trackers. They really fit great and support the "Agent" feeling.
Unfortunately, the author didn’t include a readme file that could give some important info on the tilesets and music used (who made them?). Another downfall is that some of the levels are maybe a tad too short in my opinion.
However, here’s my conclusion: no Jazz2 fan should miss this awesome episode by Bartman but start DOWNLOADiNG iMMEDiATELY. It was one of the milestones in J2 level making history (i’m very undecided between 8.5 and 9 here).
P.S.: Attention, evil cheaters! :-)
It’s Very Good but one problem
Whenever i get to the level “The End?”
It quit’s the episode and put’s me in the Jazz 2 Menu….I wonder why?
Can you fix the problem and Update the episode.
Thank You
Great levels, mr. Bartman!:-)
a very nice pack, with good points and also bad points if u ask me.
the levels are good, but can get a bit boring after some time. when looking at the first jungle lvl, i got a bit of a strange feeling as i didnt really had the feeling u were in a jungle ( the background was very bad, only some leaves) (2x feeling..hmm). the widescreen was vey irritating as messed up yer view, u couldnt see enemies coming from down u and that stuff.
the tarzan-like sliding was pretty kewl..but too short :-( but still good.
i think the creator has use way too much mez and more of those basic tilesets, he should have used more standard jazz lvls, or lvls with more nice thingies in them, cos i got a bit bored. the pack has some nice ideas, like a spycam (perfect dark?) and stuff like that.
i think u should download this and play it right away
A very nice level pack, great design and event placement.
Anyway, the wide screen thing you’ll find nice and creative, but it does get on your nerves. Also, they are other annoying parts, you’ll find. Quite a few, really.
Well, nice and long level pack, just the right challenge. One other thing, Spaz CAN’T beat one of the levels. That can be annoying for Spaz users. Well, I haven’ found a way with Spaz, so I might be wrong.
Anyway, a must to download!
Spaz users? How many is that? One?
;-p
Nice pack. Jazz in agent! I got a problem. Jazz 2 can’t find tileset or level file for “agtjrbt16.j2l”. Help! Author, submit review please.
I really like that well everything was said this is original and has a cool gameplay..
Hmm… a very good job, very interesting use of tiles in the mez levels.
Hmmn…….
Interesting
The levels all seem short, i assume you made the moonstation tileset. There were lots of great ideas, but the levels were to short, to little goodies and so. The spy cam things were really cool and interesting. What more needed to say. Downloadthis if you want, but im more in the mood for the SP levels blade and agama make.[This review has been edited by Blackraptor]
How can i download Agent Jackrabbit? :/
This is good you start in a police building and they tell your first mission.
The eyecandy is good and it’s fun to play to.
o i can’t play agtjbt16 to like WINNER.
But downlaod reccomended.
It seems that the download link is broken, so i cant download this….
i played this long time ago and i remember that it was very good, but i still cant rate it until the link is fixed.
cool url not found
Same as snooz, good level but had 2 get a new comp so i needed it again.
So good, so far, untill it didn’t find a tileset or something at level 16. Overall, the other levels were good!
(Unsupported rating removal. What makes it good? Can you explain your rating by describing the quality of the work? What type of graphic quality does it have? Is the level design any good? Does the pack suffer from any major flaws that you noticed? Original rating 8.5. ~Violet)
GREEEEAAAAAAAAT
VERY GREAT
More Says I Not
(More says you should. Please give details regarding why you chose this particular rating for this upload, showing how you based it off of the quality of the file/s. Original rating 10.0. ~Violet)
agtjrbt16.j2l not found please! help!
(COMPLETELY unsupported rating (9.7) removal. Try to understand that 10 is not a default rating. The average is, if anything, 5.5. As a result, you need to explain what makes this pack so INCREDIBLE that it gets a 10, which is higher than the average rating of any upload there is. ~Violet)
Edit:oh sorry Violet i forgot
and spaz users use tnt
Quite playable and enjoyable levelpack… some ideas originally implemented other not, eyecandy below average – it’s not just because of poor quality tilesets, even on levels with better tiles there are too small repetitive patterns and lack of details. There are even more cons – like too narrow passages making levels buggy. But the most important bug is that some files are probably missing making the game to quit with fatal error… and there’s no readme file. I can’t give more than 6.5
COOOL GAME!!!!!!!!
(Totally unsupported rating (10) removal. ~Violet)
It’s a bunch of short, repetetive levels with no actual cutscenes or original gameplay.
Eyecandy: Repetetive! This bugs me.
Gameplay: Nothing original. Boooring.
Placement: Not bad, I suppose.
Ideas: Blech.
Story: Real bad. Some levels don’t connect. Such as the video arcade whatever. Quite questionable.
Puzzles: None really. If any, so outdone I didn’t notice
Overall: Blech
Download: If you like doing similar things oooover and oooover again.
[Unsupported rating (6.5) clearance. Please provide more support for your rating. For more information on writing a proper review, see the \Review Rules\. – Cooba]There’s no Spaz problem!
Just use the bombs from one of the previous levels to destroy
ceiling.
I didn’t like the levels, so I won’t rate them.
I played this once a long time ago.. good, as I remember.
Whoa. An EXCELLENT episode. One of the lucky ones to get a 9 from me. MEZ01 (along with other tilesets) was streched to it’s limits, the music fit VERY well. It also uses a lot of creative stuff. This includes the NIFTY wide-screen view which gives it a cinematic feel. As Aiko noted, though, you should have included a readme. Even though I may know who made them, not everyone else does. :-)
My only true complaints are some levels are short and there are minor eye candy bugs. This won’t stop me from saying it’s one of the most awesome SP episodes ever created.
Download now!
Ah, I remember downloading this from J2C a while ago….Very good levels.
(Wide screen gets a BIT annoying but its still nice)
I downloaded this a while ago, and I recommend download.
Sadly Moebius.j2t and neonius.j2t were not included in this pack… besides that its great
Nice singleplayer lvl`s
I downloaded this a long while ago,
on the old jazz2city. But when i saw it was availeble here, i just HAD to review it :-). Al in al, good level pack.
~>CelL<
Hey Bartman, who made that cool Mario tileset for the Mario level? You?
Nice. Very nice. Good job, Bartman.
Nice levels, nice levels…also when you put in a level jjnxt you are gouging to antoher level with cheater or something…
ello > :) < i hate some lvls but…. ther ar vry good a 9.5, oke??? ye!
cool level pack but a few things.
1. what do you have against spaz?
2. why the wide screen?
i still recommend this level pack.
i am a spaz user too.
This levelpack is one of the best ever made for Jazz2!!! The eyecandy is good, the levels are very fun to play, the widescreen adds a nice effect to the gameplay. The music is nice, although in some cases it can get very annoying, for example in the “Mario Bros like” level. Another good thing is the “surfing on the tree” level. It’s a pity it’s too short. One thing I didn’t like is that in a level you are supposed to uppercut to escape, but… Spaz can’t uppercut! You are forced to play all the episode with Jazz, or to cheat (read JJMORPH). Luckily, the author of the levels gives us the levels’ password in the end of the episode, so we can see how they were made.
My score is:
+2.5 for the eyecandy
+2.5 for the level design
+2.5 for the playability
+1.5 for the music
+1 for the widescreen
-0.5 for the Jazz-only level
TOTAL :9.5
Download recommendation? Absolutely YES!
PD: If the author would fix the Spaz problem, this levelpack would get a 10!
Bartman, your levels are very good but they are too hard for some kids (not like me) and they are mostly, excellently did on JCS and the password is secret. It has 10 letters and it begins with A and ends with Y. Some users don’t know the password but I know, because I used the password remover too early, as some people say “Don’t edit my levels” as they set the strong password, as we cannot know!
For your levels, your rating from me is 10. I say you will become an excellent level maker (Possibly near the top, as someone rated my “boss rush” 6 and says that I’m very good on level making. Very good levels, very good mind, very good creativity – continue with your lucky work in hours!
I also love the “Super Mario Brothers” tileset used in your upload. Also, it is also used in mine upload; the Boss Rush (my first upload, and we know I’m new on this website).
Earnings:
Mind: 10
Creativity: 10
Good levels: 10
Luck: 10
You got all the 10’s, as you see, and I am awaiting to make a level pack like you! Bartman, you are so awesome!
