"I have an idea!" I suddenly declared. "Araches, Shuri and I will go West, and the rest of you can go East!"
"What if we die?" asked L33tz4n.
"Then I'll Raise you," I answered.
"But what if whatever kills us kills you, too?"
"Well that would be bad," I replied, "but I'm sure it won't happen. Just be positive."
L33tz4n stared at me for a moment or two, then disdainfully followed Uberbob and Fooruman East. Araches, Shuriken and I ventured West.
"I'm not sure if this is really a good idea," Shuriken said as we walked through the maze. "If we run into trouble, it's cool, we've got the rocket launcher, but what about-?" Her thoughtful ramblings were cut short by a rabid hyena robot leaping out at us. I took aim with the RPG and blasted the attacked into rabid hyena robot dust.
"I guess it's true what they say," I said with a grin, "laughter... kills. Or something." Immediately after saying that I internally vowed never to speak again.
We stood at a dead end. As we surved the deadness of the end, we heard a loud scream from the East, followed by a strangely evil-sounding patern of 1's and 0's. The very next thing we heard was the unmistakable clicking sound of megawarp coordinates being entered, which was cut short by more binary laughter and the growls of mechanical monsters rending a canoe into splinters.

"We have to go back for them!" I declared.
"We'll be killed," Araches pointed out.
"It's a noble death! Let's go!"
The three of us rushed East. Everything seemed normal, until I tripped over a lone, mechanical rabbit leg, then landed in the snow on top of a blood-stained whip and a purple hat. I reached for a nearby canoe fragment to help me regain my footing, only to discover that my feet were gone. This was also around the point when I noticed a very sharp, excruciating pain running through my legs, likely caused by my recent lack of feet. The pain in my legs subsided when my legs were no longer a part of my body, but unfortunately feeling my entrails drag in the snow was also fairly unpleasant in its own right. I then felt very sleepy, so I snuggled up to the cold, metal limb and let myself drift off to dreamland...

We went North into the Polar Dervish, ran around in it for a while, found a rocket launcher and a teleporter, then warped to some other part of the maze. From there we went North, West, North, East, North, and East. We came to a turn leading North.

We went East, and it didn't take long for a rabid hyena robot to make a go at us. I fired the rocket launcher with deadly skill, and pwned the evil creature before it even knew what pwned it. As the glittering shards of metal fell to the ground I saw that we had reached a dead end.
Uberbob nudged me with his elbow. "Oh yeah," I said. "And... that's the end of that chapter."
"You call that a one-liner?!" Uberbob exclaimed. "You didn't even make a pun! And hyena puns are so easy! Say something like, 'we may have won, but he got the last laugh.'"
I had to admit, that was pretty good.

I attempted to pick up a piece of the destroyed hyena robot, only to find that it was extremely hot and burned the fur right off the palm of my hand. I then realized that I shouldn't be so materialistic anyway, lest I should become more like... no, that could never happen.
We went West until we came to the door leading back South. The hall continued Westward.

My comrades all unanimously exclaimed, "EW!"
I then felt badly about myself, but led everyone North. As we stepped through the doorway, it suddenly stopped snowing. In fact, it also got noticeably colder. I was now facing a gigantic mansion off in the distance, set directly between two large, snow-covered mountains. It actually seemed more like an industrial building than a home, but the decorative landscaping, victorian-style shutters and mild paint tones practically screamed, "This is not an industrial building. Someone lives here."
I looked back into the maze and saw that it was still snowing inside. I wondered if we had just traveled through some sort of dimensional rift, but my thoughts quickly shifted to the possibility that whoever lived in the mansion might have actual food. My companions seemed to have caught on to the same idea a little quicker than I had, as they began running towards the mansion like a pack of rabid hyena robots.

I ran North after my friends. We crossed the snow-covered terrain in the blink of an eye and reached the massive and overly-ellaborate double doors of the building. A door knocker shaped like an eagle's head adorned the entrance. We stood between two large stone pillars on a walkway lined with several potted plants. Considering the climate, it seemed a fair assumption that said plants were fake, but they still garnered a certain appeal.
"Rich people must live here," Araches noted. "I mean, they've got two front doors. Only a rich person could afford to have two front doors."
The mental image of young Araches standing outside a trailer in a diaper and a large Cowboys jersey briefly flashed across my eyes.
"Rich people have food!" Uberbob exclaimed. "That's why they're rich, so they can eat and live and stay rich and keep eatting!"
"Are we going to go in and beg for food without even assuming this could be a trap?" Shuri asked, very deadpan.
"I like where your head's at!" Uberbob replied. "What say you, Fawriel? Shall we go in and beg for food like lowely gypsy peasants who wander the Earth defending the stupid and pwning the successful in the name of truth, justice, and truth?"

I can't even pretend that the majority of those commands actually made sense. I'm going to carry out the ones that seemed like they might have been conceived in an actual human brain.

I resisted the urge to start doing stupid dances... for a while, at least. Looking around I didn't see anything that seemed takable, or for that matter even worth taking. The fake plants were useless, and frozen to their pots, and the doorknocker was securely attached to the door. There was no doormat, likely because there was no mud outside to endanger the floor of whoever lived here. Perhaps they didn't want company anyway.
I turned to L33tz4n and told her to summon a Water Elemental. She did so. The somewhat mightly liquid being appeared out of thin air, then froze solid, then vanished again.
Having accomplished absolutely nothing for all of my careful planning, I knocked on the door. We waited a while for someone to answer, and after a minute or two someone did. A young bird-man with green feathers and an expensive-looking suit answered the door. He looked twenty-something, and handsome, though not particularly friendly. He glanced over our party, raised an eyebrow, and asked, "May I help you, ladies and gents?"
"Give us food," said Uberbob.
"Uh.. huh," the bird-man replied. "Would you mind telling me precisely who you are first? I should like to think you do have a name of some sort, am I right?"
"Food," said Uberbob. "Give. Us. Food."
"Ignore him," said Araches, pushing Uberbob backwards and stepping up to the gentleman. "My name is Araches, and my companions and I are very tired and hungry. We haven't eaten in weeks, and we hardly ever sleep. No one ever knows what time it is, you see, so we just assume that it's never any time at all."
The birdman looked everyone over once more, gave little nod, then beckoned us to enter. Uberbob and Araches rushed inside the mansion, followed by Fooruman and Shuriken. L33tz4n and I exchanged glances.
"You think we sh0uld go in?" she asked. "We don't know this person. It could be a trap."

Pageclaim for the longest post ever.

I turned back to the Polar Dervish, and inwardly said, "You got PWNED!" I then considered smelling the... no. That's disgusting.
"Well, given a choice between unlikely death inside a mansion, and certain death at the metallic paws of rabid zombie cyborg hyenas, I think I'd prefer the former," I replied to L33tz4n's inquiry. She nodded, then the two of us went inside.
We found ourselves inside a gigantic foyer. Dark red carpeting covered the floor, and in the center of the room hung a large, golden chandelier. Uberbob and the others were sitting in overstuffed red chairs, already filling themselves with candy from a dish on the table in front of them. I doubted that was actually intended for them.
"Ahem," said the bird-man, grabbing their attention away from the candydish. "We are going to have actual dinner soon, you know. My brother is setting the table now. My name is Talon, by the way, and you all are?"
"We're gypsies!" said Uberbob.
Araches punched him in the shoulder, then said, "We're really just travelling warriors. That's Uberbob, Shuriken, Fawriel, L33tz4n and... that thing in the canoe is Fooruman."
The archmage was examining a nearby stone wall, with a large fiery-looking mask hanging on the side. He licked the wall a few times and sat stroking his beard. "This wall tastes of-"
"STONE!" Araches interrupted. "We know! It tastes of stone! You like licking stone, so just occupy yourself doing that and don't bother anyone else."
Fooruman smiled with dissappointment. "It doesn't taste of STONE at all..." he said with a sigh.
Another green bird-man entered the room. "Ah... guests, brother?"
"Yes, some travelers," Talon answered with a sharp nod. Turning to the rest of us he then said, "Everyone, this is my brother Lance. We moved here not too long ago. In fact, I believe you're the first guests we've had thus far. Aren't they, Lance?"
"Quite so, Talon, quite so," Lance replied. "You all look famished. I do hope you'll join us for our traditional seventeen-course dinner."
Uberbob leapt out of his chair and clung to the bird brothers' legs. "I LOVE YOU!" he cried. "And I love food! Give me food!"
The brothers glanced at each other and smiled, then led us all into the dining room. Uberbob carried the candydish with him.
The dining room was dimly lit by a few candles and a large stone fireplace. It was mild inside; not warm, but the food... oh my GOD the food! There was a table in the center of the room, set for eight people and a canoe. The table was lined with more food that I had collectively seen during our entire adventure. We ran, slithered and rowed to the table and immediately began feasting to our hearts' content. Only L33tz4n seemed to wonder if the food was safe to eat, but after the rest of us had indulged ourselves she too joined in the savage feast. There were muffins, biscuites, sasauges, cheeses, brownies, giblets, apples, pears, sushi, caviar, and some other things I didn't take the time to register to memory as I shoved them into my mouth. Talon and Lance watched us tear into their meal, simply nibbling on their food and sipping glasses of wine. I guess it had been less than a month since the last time they had eaten.
"So, tell us a little about yourselves," Talon said as we were finishing up our desserts. Uberbob and the others had been given tarts, while I had been handed a package of snack cakes. The brand label read "Complicated Cakes." I couldn't even open the package.
"We're trying to kill an allegedly-evil dreadlord who may or may not have done anything wrong," Uberbob answered just before choking down another bite of cake. "His name is Blackraptor."
The bird brothers didn't faulter. "Blackraptor, eh?" Lance repeated with a grin. "Yes... yes, that does sound like an evil name."
As I struggled to open my Complicated Cakes, L33tz4n suddenly spoke up. "Do you always prepare enough food for eight people?" she asked.
"Why yes, dear girl," Talon replied. "We do. It's part of being rich, you see."
"What's with this mansion?" L33tz4n then inquired. "It looks like a factory from outside."
"It use to be Santa's workshop," Lance answered, "until he was outsourced by China. We bought the place and refurnished it with our inheritance."
L33tz4n fell silent, then asked, "So, this is the North Pole?"
"We moved the North Pole out back," said Talon.
"Hey, I wanna see that!" Uberbob declared. "Can you show us?"
"Maybe tomorrow," the brothers said in unison. Uberbob looked crushed.
"You really should spend the night," Lance suggested. "We have guest bedchambers upstairs. And just so you know, it's 10 PM."
Uberbob sighed. "I wanted to see the North Pole. Or at least Dennis."
Talon's eyes grew wider. "There is no Dennis!" he exclaimed suddenly. "I mean... it's a myth. The very idea... all points converging... merging... to take you anywhere in the world... that Dennis, you mean? There's no such thing. True, yes dear brother?"
Lance nodded. "No, I'm sorry, there is not Dennis. Whatever Canadian told you about Dennis was probably very, very confused."
"Canadian?" L33tz4n repeated. "How did you-?!"
"My, it is LATE!" Talon declared with a yawn. "You ought to go upstairs to your chambers. Just follow the red carpet." He turned and proceeded to leave with his brother, then quickly added, "There are bathrooms on the same hall. Now please, no more chatter until tomorrow." The two of them left into another room and closed the door behind them.
To the East was the red-carpeted staircase. Uberbob stretched in his chair and picked at his teeth. "Nice guys," he said. "They seem English. Or gay. One or the other."
"Bed sounds good," said Araches. "We can pump them for info tomorrow." Everyone proceeded to head up the stairs. I, still trying to open my dessert, sat in silence. I was pretty tired as well.

"Shuriken, would you open my Complicated Cakes with your blade?" I asked, ignoring the fact that Shuriken had already gone upstairs with the others. After pondering this for a moment, I decided to go upstairs myself.
Atop the Eastern stairway was a long hallway with three doors. The one at the end of the hall was labeled with a blue "Save Point" sign, meaning that it was likely the bathroom that the bird brothers had mentioned before leaving us. The other two doors were probably the guest bedchambers where my comrades had gone to.
To the East was the first door, while the other chamber and the bathroom were South.

I wandered into the Save Point/bathroom. It was a fairly nice Save Point, much better than the last two we had saved at. The stalls were nice and clean, and little glass dishes of potpourri sat next to the soap dispensers above the marble sinks. I strode across the white tile floor, entered a stall, and saved. Just for the record, I really needed to save... badly.
After saving I washed my hands and returned to the hallway. It was very dark and quiet at the moment, likely due to everyone sleeping. I quietly BANGED on the door nearest to me.
"Who is it?!" I heard Araches shout from inside. "If it's you again, Uberbob, I swear I'll burn you so badly that even Fawriel and the canoe combined won't be able to bring you back!"

"Fawriel?" she replied. "Oh, sorry Faw." I started to walk back North when she opened the door and told me, "This is the girls' room, the guys sleep down there." She pointed to the first bedroom door, then went back inside. I heard the girls giggling about something, or rather I heard L33tz4n giggle, Araches laugh, and Shuri say, "You're both idiots. Stay on topic."
I went North and stood at the entrance to the boys' bedroom. Araches, Shuri and L33tz4n were sleeping just down the hallway, and I was bunking with Uberbob, Fooruman and his canoe. It seemed like I had gotten the short end of the stick on this deal.

I walked back South and knocked on the door once again. "What exactly was Uberbob doing?" I asked.
"He wanted to know if he could sleep in our room tonight," she said in a strangely aggravated tone. "Now go to bed, Faw! We're tired!"
I could faintly hear little L33tz4n whispering something inside. Araches burst out laughing again, while Shuriken remained silent.
I walked back North and, once again, stood in front of the door. It seemed perfectly quiet inside. Strange, considering that Uberbob was there.

I slowly turned the doorknob and went East into the bedroom. No sooner had I walked in when I was met with a large flying pillow. It hit me in the face and fell to the ground.
"HA!" exclaimed Uberbob, sitting on a bed in the direction the pillow had come from. "You should have seen your face! It was like, 'Omigawd, it's a pillow!'"
"Yes, that was very clever, Uberbob," I said as I closed the door behind me. The bedroom was a long, rectangular chamber with four beds, and was lit by two candles set on a nightstand in the center. Uberbob had apparently claimed the first bed for his own. After glancing around I noticed that Fooruman was on the floor sleeping in his canoe. A single pillow propped up his head as he dreamed of whatever it is senile old men dream of.

I considered throwing the pillow back at Uberbob, but I didn't want to sink to his level. Also it could have been dangerous, with candles around and all.
I left the bedroom, went back down the stairs and walked through the dining room into the foyer. I stepped past the chairs and table to examine the wall Fooruman had licked earlier. It looked to be made of stone, but it was a bit discolored compared to the other stone walls in the house. A mask with fiery eyes hung on the wall, as a decoration I guess. The mask almost looked as though it were staring at me with those eerie, angry eyes.

I attempted to take the mask from the wall, but it wouldn't budge. It might have actually been a part of the wall considering how strongly they were bound to each other. I struck the mask's eye with my spear. The wall shook violently, then lashed foward and knocked me on my behind. It hurt as much as I expected getting rammed by a large wall would.
Stubborn mule that I was, I then struck the wall itself with my spear. It stood mostly firm, but pulsated a bit, almost like living flesh.

I went back upstairs and banged on everyone's doors. They all came out into the hallway, wielding their weapons either for combat or to kill me for disturbing their sleep.
"You have to come downstairs!" I exclaimed. "There's a living wall down there!"
"Did the wall do anything evil?" Uberbob asked.
"It attacked me," I announced. "But... after I stabbed it in the eye."
"Ah...ha," said Uberbob. "Fawriel, leave the poor wall alone. What did it ever do to you?" With that, he and the others returned to the their rooms. I felt bad for attacking a defenseless wall, but even worse for being shown logic by Uberbob.

Cardinal directions. D= And Faw wouldn't lick a wall. You can make Uberbob do anything, usually, but the other characters won't obey "the voices" without questioning them. What would it accomplish, anyway? You know the wall is alive already, and licking it probably wouldn't make it like you much more than stabbing it did.

I wandered West and South, then faced the strange stone wall. In my sleepless, dillusional state, it somehow seemed like a good idea to give the wall a nice, long lick. I did so. The wall didn't taste like much of anything, really, though just a tiny bit salty. I then turned and licked a normal wall. It tasted of STONE. Ironically, I felt a bit stoned to be going around licking walls in the middle of the night.

'Maybe this brief flicker of insanity is the result of not sleeping enough,' I thought to myself. 'Time to hit the hay.'
I trudged back upstairs into the bedroom. Uberbob was in his bed, and Fooruman was fast asleep in the canoe. I assumed the canoe was also asleep. I climbed into the bed next to Uberbob's, fluffed up my pillow and attempted to go to sleep.
"You aren't sleeping nude, are you?" I heard Uberbob ask.
"No," I replied.
"Okay. Goodnight, Faw."
"Goodnight Uberbob."

I rolled over in bed. "Huhwhat?" I muttered, still half-asleep.
"Faw, get up."
I sat up in bed and saw L33tz4n standing at the foot of my bed. Her eyes gave off a faint glow in the darkness.
"What are you doing here?" was my immediate response.
"I'll explain in a bit," she whispered. "Get up and follow me."
I disdainfully complied, though I was still very tired. The two of us quietly left the room and entered the hallway. Light from the open Save Point door illuminated the area just enough to make out her features. She looked very troubled.
"What are we-?"
"Just come on," she interreupted, grabbing my arm and leading me Southward towards the Save Point. She slithered into the bathroom, when I suddenly drew back my arm.
"Whoa, why are we going in there?" I asked, very confused by this point.
"You'll see soon enough," was her response. I gulped. She went inside on her own, while I stood in the hallway not sure of what to do next.
'I'll see... soon enough?' The words echoed in my brain. Surely L33tz4n didn't want... I mean... what had she been giggling about before anyway? L33tz4n and I were such good friends; we'd both been following around Uberbob ever since the Snufuss incident. She had always seemed to like Uberbob the most... but then again, Uberbob had been treating her rather badly lately. Maybe she had decided to come over to the Fawside after all...

I took a deep breath and walked into the bathroom. L33tz4n stood facing away as I entered. I couldn't begin to imagine what she was thinking at that point in time.
"Uh... L33tz4n?" I said uneasily. "I know you and I have been through a lot together but... Uberbob loves you. Or at least he likes you. Or... he thinks you're smart... the point is-"
I immediately fell silent when she turned around and shot me a look of fury. My ears fell lower and I took a step back. "Don't even talk to me about him!" she exclaimed. "I'm so sick of the way he treats me! 'L33tz4n, what's this? L33tz4n, summon the Water Elemental to do stuff.' Of course that's when he actually remembers my name, otherwise I'm just 'that blue thing.' And he w4nts me to be his girlfriend!" She walked closer (and I backed away). "His girlfriend, Fawriel! Does he really think I w4nt that after the way he treats me?"
"Actually... I kinda thought you did want that," I replied nervously.
"Not the point!" she retorted.
"L33tz4n, why did you bring me here?" I finally ventured to ask. Her expression changed dramatically from rage to contentment
"Oh... I guess I just needed to let off some steam to somebody," she replied. "It's been a while since I've gotten away from Uberbob, you kn0w."
"So you brought me in here... to rant about Uberbob?"
She nodded. "I didn't think the others would understand. They're not as sensitive as you are Fawriel. I knew you would listen to me."
"...L33tz4n, are you on your peri-?" I was cut short by a loud cough coming from a nearby stall. L33tz4n and I both started.
"Did you hear that?" she asked. "Someone's in h3re."

"It's wallet-stealing time," I said aloud.
"What?!" exclaimed L33tz4n.
I quickly kicked open the door of the stall, and to my complete and utter shock I saw a familiar face! It was Plot Device the rabbit, the same guy we had left to die in Grandma Conqista's supermarket a few days ago, only now he looked to be dying in a completely different bathroom altogether. He sat on the toilet (though it's important to note that he wasn't "saving") and gasped for breath. He had several open wounds and bruises all over his face.
"What are you doing here?!" I asked. "I thought you died."
"You thought wrong, shaman," he replied weakly, though with an air of passion in his voice. "I made it out alive. A good Samaritan in a canoe came and healed my wounds, no thanks to you!"
"But I tried to heal you!" I argued. "Here!" I got up a healing aura around my palms and placed them over his wounds, but he pushed me away.
"Save your magic, shaman! You'll need it to get out of here alive!"
"I'm not a shaman!" I said angrily. "And you're the worst plot device ever! Come on, L33tz4n, we're leaving."
"But he said this place is dangerous!" she cried. "We need to escape!"
'Of course,' I thought to myself. 'These places where you can sleep for free always mean something bad is about to happen.'

I came here to ask Santa for a new shirt, since my old one got ripped a little in the attack on Upper Placespot, but little did I know what horrible fate awaited me. Oh man, if these walls could talk... they could tell you more than I could. I'm dying, you know."
"I'm not entirely sure these walls can't talk," I replied. "And you don't have to die you know. I am a healer."
"It's too late for me!" he said, dramatically tossing back his arms and looking to the sky. "Save yourselves! Let my vague and almost pointless warning keep you from making my mistake!" He paused, then added, "Whatever that mistake was!"
"Why didn't your parents name you something more like 'Incredibly Useful Buddy Who'll Be With You Till The Very End?'" I asked for some reason.
"I don't think that would fit on a birth certificate," he replied. I certainly couldn't argue with that.

"L33tz4n, wake the girls," I told her. "I'll wake the boys."
The two of us rushed out of the bathroom and into the hallway. We attempted to open the doors to the bedrooms, but they seemed to have been locked.
"You didn't lock the door, did you?" I asked as L33tz4n struggled with the doorknob.
"No," she replied, "and I'll assume you d1dn't, either. I knew something was up with those bird brothers..."
We tried banging on the doors to wake everyone up, but no one was responding. I began to worry.
Suddenly I turned around as I heard voices on the other side of the Western wall. There was a large crack in the side of it, through which I could barely make out the chatter of two rich English guys. I put my ear to the crack and listened; L33tz4n did the same.
"I'm glad that's finally over," said the first voice. "Kudos for rigging the guest bedrooms with electronic locks and poison gas, Lance. You were really thinking ahead."
"Oh come now, Talon," the second voice replied. "I just thought to myself, 'what would Lord Blackraptor do?'"
"He'll certainly be very happy with us," said Lance. "Our previous failures will seem as nothing once we deliver the news. In fact, humor me dear brother; please reitterate our previous attempts on the life of Uberbob for no real reason whatsoever."
"Oh of course, brother, I was just about to suggest the same. Well, there was the giant snowball of course. It would have worked if that blasted healer hadn't been with him... and also there was the firewall and garden of poisoned herbs on the Isle of Darkness. Those were truely wasted effort."
"I was so sure he'd take the poisoned herbs if we hid them behind something dangerous," said Lance. "What a pity he has semi-competant mages assisting him. If only those Compass Roses weren't immune to magic, we could have taken him out..."
"He was getting far too close to finding Dennis," said Talon. "A door with no handle is hardly an obstacle for someone who knows where Dennis is. The Dreadlord will be most appreciative, I'm certain."
"Did you hear th4t?" L33tz4n whispered.
"Did you hear that?" Lance said. "Who's there?!"
"Um, we were just leaving!" I said to the wall as I grabbed Leetz4n and ran for the stairway. A giant stone wall with a fiery mask slid out of nowhere and blocked off the exit. I was starting to feel pnwed already.
"Enemies of Blackraptor!" Talon cried. "You will be elliminated for threatening our ideals!"
"N-no!" I shouted. "I'm just a minor threat! Pay no mind!"
"Too little too late, green weasel guy! It's pwning time!"

Now wait for Rad to come, plz.

Don't you remember what happened in the Romero Challenge? You got through with both shotgun shells intact, and so two zombies just happened to attack as you left.

Something tells me a hyena would have been waiting at the exit if you had gotten the rocket launcher.

EDIT: And to Faw's post I'd like to add that the E.Sphere should attack the Ice Serpant.

Edit: I feel I should also add that the First Aid Kit is not technically magic. It should work on walls and Enchantrespheres. I can add that to its description later.

The poison is related to how much HP he has. Healing him now would mean we start losing HP again. He can't be touched at this point, so hold off on the First Aid until we absolutely need it.

Bad Radium! You know nothing good ever happens when you summon your principle attack spellcasters within melee range of the enemy! I did not give the Dire Wall formsteal for you to use it while the Dire Wall is trapped in a corner and taking a beating! I killed two summons with it and cast regen D= That's pretty good. But yeah, I really should have stuck it in a corner on my side and used those 20 or so Burn charges.

And did you see the sig image? I tried making the fight into an animation.

You know, it's a really good thing we won. You guys didn't save before the battle, you know, we would have had to go to sleep all over again. :p

I stood over my fallen enemy with my veins still full of poison. As I clung to my spear for support, it occured to me that this was probably the end. I reached out to L33tz4n and tried my best to Raise her, but it was no use; my magic was spent.
"I guess... this is the end," I said with a cough. "Funny... I always pictured myself dying due to Uberbobian incompetance. Oh well... at least the first aid kit is safe..."
I fell to my knees. Everything began to go dark, when suddenly the oh-so-familiar sound of an old man rowwing a canoe on solid ground reached my ears. Looking up I saw Fooruman coming to my rescue, though honestly I wasn't so sure if that was a good thing.
"STONE-TASTING MAGIC, BE GONE!" he shouted as he whacked me with his oar. The awesome power of foo compelled the Frostbite venom to be purged from my veins, and the awesome power of being smacked by an oar caused me to pass out.

When I finally came to, my companions were all stading over me. "He looks pretty crappy," said Uberbob. "Maybe you should hit him again."
"NO!" I shouted, quickly finding the strength to leap to my feet. "It's cool! We're cool!" I then looked and saw that L33tz4n was alive and smiling widely at me. I was too confused to smile back just yet.
"What happened? I thought you were all dead," I explained. "The Birdclaws Brothers said poison gas traps had been set in the bedrooms, and we couldn't get you guys to wake up."
"We were all dead," said Araches. "Well, except for the FooCanoe; it never breathed in the poison."
"My good friend the canoe Raised me from the dead," Fooruman added. "Then, using my ARCANE POWERS, I rammed down the door of our bedroom and came right out to save you as quickly as I could."
I was beginning to think that the old man's definition of "quickly" was slightly warped. Still, I was glad to be alive, even if my head still hurt.
"What happened to the dire wall in the hallway? And Plot Device?"
"The wall's g0ne," said L33tz4n, "and Fooruman healed the rabbit in the restroom. He left a few minutes ago."
"All these explainations are boring me," said Uberbob. "I still want to see the North Pole! C'mon everyone, follow me to... ADVENTURE!"
Uberbob and the others began to leave the battlefield. L33tz4n stood by my side, watching him as he left. She was still smiling. "He's incorrigible, 1sn't he?" she said with a laugh. This time I couldn't help but smile back.
"Hey, it's nice to see you loling again, L33tz4n," I said with a wink.
To this remark she expressed mock indignation, and gave me a playful shove. "I'm not loling!" she said, still fighting back a chuckle. "I'm just... laughing out loud."

To the East was the girls' bedroom, to the South was the Save Point, to the West was now a large hole in the wall, and North lead to more of the hallway.

I went South into the Save Point/bathroom and washed the smell of burnt chicken from my hands. After drying them off with one of those electronic blowdryer things that never work, I went back out into the hallway. My companions were waiting for me.
"Had to go that bad, huh?" asked Uberbob.
"Had to save," I replied.
"Whatever, let's just go do something now," he suggested. "The bird guys were Blackraptor minions, right? Maybe we could find some clues around here, or at least steal their stuff."

We went North down the hallway and West down the stairs into the dining room. The table had been cleared since dinner the previous night. Even the candlesticks and tablecloth were gone. The fire in the fireplace was still lit. To the South was the foyer, and to the West was the door the BBs had escaped through ealier.
I found it odd that this place seemed to have no windows. I suppose that's because it was originally something of a factory, but how cruel of Santa to force the elves to work without sunlight. On that note, I realized we had never seen any sign of the actual toy factory remnants.

My friends and I traveled back up the stairs and into the hallway. Stepping through one of the massive holes in the wall, we entered the secret room where most of the battle had taken place. The Southern-fried remains of Talon and Lance still lay on the floor, and well as various bloodstains and muffin crumbs. I didn't see any way for them to have gotten in here, unless they had somehow teleported. To the back of the room was a large painting of a river, with a bronze title plaque below it. It seemed like an odd place for a painting. As I stood staring at it, I noticed a gentle humming sound, like something electronic was running nearby.

As much as I would have loved to have stabbed the soulless and meaningless painting, I decided it would be stupid. The painting was in a silver frame. The glass covering the painting had smudges on its surface in two places, like someone had placed their hands upon it for one reason or another.
I looked back at the remains of the Birdclaw Brothers. I guess I could have added them to my inventory, but it seemed like carrying the corpses of people I had slaughtered would force me to cross the line between warrior and homicidal maniac.

First, put your hands on the spots where the painting was touched before. If they are too far apart, simply ask smeone from the party to help. "Maybe it has one of those weird mechanisms were you push something in and a wall opens or something like that.." ..and if nothing happens, push a little harder.

"Someone help me take down this painting," I said. Uberbob walked over and took one side of the frame while I took the other. We tried with all our might to take it off the wall, but the painting wouldn't budge; it was sealed directly to the wall itself.
"Maybe it has one of those weird mechanisms were you push in something and a wall opens or something like that.." I babbled incoherantly. I placed my hands on the glass in the spots where the smudges were. The surface of the painting blinked like a computer screen, and a calm, soothing woman's voice called out, "Access denied. Pwned you, n00b." Immediately I felt several volts of electricity running through my body. I fell backwards and twitched a few times before regaining my senses.
'As if I needed another reason to hate his paintings,' I thought to myself.

Uberbob picked up what use to be Lance and shoved the whole carcass onto the painting. The glass got all greasy and gross.
"Access denied."
Electricity ran through Lance's corpse and fried him up nice and crispy.
"Hey, good idea!" said Uberbob. "I was getting hungry again."
"You're not eatting him," said Araches. "That's just too gross. Besides, we might be onto something if you two would stop being complete morons for one second."

When in an awkward situation, it's always best to ramble on rather than stay quiet and look stupid. "L33tz4n, summon the Enchantresphere to zap the thing."
L33tz4n called upon the big flying orb thing we affectionately referred to as Spherey. The Enchantresphere zapped the painting with a pulse of magical lightning.
"You suck," said the woman's voice in the same calm and soothing manner. A large machanical arm with a machine gun came out of the wall and blasted the Enchantresphere back to wherever it is they come from.
"Okay then, summon the Water Elemental and have it attack, too."
L33tz4n then summoned a somewhat mighty Water Elemental. She commanded it to splash the painting on the wall. It did so, and nothing happened.
