Does anyone have an idea of what could of happened if Lori was going to be Spazz's girlfriend instead of being a sister?

I think there are things in the big wide world which should stay unknown...

the JJ2 ending movie would be correct. It's kinda weird now, since spaz sees his own sister and.. well, does really weird things for someone seeing his own sister

Well, can we be sure that's Lori? It doesn't look like her except maybe the colors; also maybe she has been away for a few years [Thus why she didn't help fight Devan] and Spaz is just very glad to see her.

I doubt we'd see many pictures of the two, we certainly don't see many of Jazz and Eva now do we; and they're *married*

On the other hand; would their children be orange? And what would they look like? Since real rabbits don't care about either marrige or incest, does the fact that she's his sister really change anything?

Depends whether you want a rabbit with 6 legs, one ear and no eyes.

Depends whether you want a rabbit with 6 legs, one ear and no eyes. What DD is saying, though is that that's only in humans. Animals tend to incest fine.

you guys have lost me here, really. Let's make some single player episode where you can play with spaz and lori and finally bring them together and they marry and such things. Lori was never meant to be his sister and why won't we just set that right? ;)

oh, yeah, and that was NOT a joke

Not really. They may be able to keep it going for a little while longer than humans, but eventually it will make them more vulnerable to certain diseases and stuff, causing all of them to be wiped out when an epidemic hits. Other animals have just as much benefit as humans when mixing the populations now and then.

So basically: Spaz + Lori = no children please

Jerry: every animal has a few faulty genes on a chromosome. Because chromosomes come in pairs, the animal usually has a chromosome with the healthy gene to make up for it. If the animals are related though, they might have the same faulty gene on the same chromosome. If both of them would pass this faulty gene to their child, the child would be left with a pair of chromosomes that both have the faulty gene, without a healthy gene to make up for it. This would cause the child to have some kind of defect. Therefore, Spaz and Lori would probably have handicapped babies.

would be interesting. a handicapted baby, you can write a whole story how spaz and lori could try to fix that! =) now who's gonna help me with levels and tilesets?

Depends whether you want a rabbit with 6 legs, one ear and no eyes.

Inbreeding has positive as well as negative effects; in general if a species has a high reproductive rate [wie rabbits] than it will incest quite well. Large litters [wie rabbits, nix cows] are also helpful, as it allows thr bad genes to be weeded out without destroying all young. Besides, this is only one generation.

Not really. They may be able to keep it going for a little while longer than humans, but eventually it will make them more vulnerable to certain diseases and stuff, causing all of them to be wiped out when an epidemic hits. Other animals have just as much benefit as humans when mixing the populations now and then.

This assumes there is no natural mutation, after all, all lions are descended from one proto lion, so there should be massive inbreeding there too right? Provided a species mutates enough and has enough young to allow bad genes to dissapear, its all good.

Labrats have been bred about 300 generations from ONE small captured sample in the early 18th century. They are now technically a seperate subspecies of rat.

Therefore, Spaz and Lori would probably have handicapped babies.

Assuming no prior inbreeding and simalar genetics to humans, the possibility is less than 1 in 200 of a serious defect. Most likely they'd be spazzy.

So in summary Spaz + Lori = Let em do what comes naturally!

spaz would be roundhouse kicked to death by Lori, naturally.

Jerrythabest

no, she would probably need all day to clean up Spaz' slobber

Well, it sounds good doesn't it? A story about Lori and Spaz. I think it should be made into a seperate thread, yes.

Spaz has been known to do really weird things anyway.

If Lori would have been Spaz's first real girlfriend, then I think Spaz would have been likely to change a lot, as in not being quite so crazy.
