How many people have signed up for Jazz2online? If we get every last one of there names epic will have to make Jazz3Looks like 7000ish, though no telling how many are active. Still nothing in comparison to the Unreal franchise. Face it, guys, you aren't going to make Epic do your bidding by having a lot of people ask them nicely. The only way any of you could make a difference would be to program a game engine that was incredibly innovative, powerful, original, and fit Jazz quite well, then try to sell it to Epic.

But THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAA
Thanks for making me almost spill Coca Cola down the front of my shirt. If you're saying we should throw a spear at CliffyB's head, it's probably the best idea so far in this thread.

How many people have signed up for Jazz2online? If we get every last one of there names epic will have to make Jazz3. Ether that or we settle for the test demo. Oh and of the topic of half life you know the powered up gravity gun? Well I found a cheat code to get it at level 1 and it's like holding god in the pome of your hands!

The JCF has 3,545 members, with 308 active.

Meaning only 308 are available to give their name, and even less actually would. And even if you could get the name of every member, Rad already mentioned the first UT forum on Google has amount ten times as many members as the JCF.

I wanted to finish my "analysis" I left unfinished, but this post (which evidently didn't take into account about 70% of what I wrote ) made me lose all hope in this project.

yeah yeah i know that they may not like my story but at lest i'm trying to bring jazz back to life.First things first, you're not the only one who has ever "tried" to do it. There have been other people such as you, and apparently they've failed. But <i>before</i> they failed, they got hardly any community attention because what were they doing was unprofessional. Baggers' project got attention because he had a lot of gaming/coding experience and his stuff looked very promising. On the contrary, you're a beginner and you don't have any stuff as of yet.
most of you guys say oh they woundn't bring jazz back to life think for just one sec if the proplem is jazz dosn't make money then why not just get a LARGE group of people to write oh lets say a protision with enough names they should go hmm people want to bring jazz back to life and there are a lot of names here we can make money agian.Radium defeated this already, so no comments here.
NO i never give up you may have given up hope that they will bring jazz back to life but i NEVER WILL i have my reason's for trying to bring jazz back to life and i will get them to.I'm sorry to be blunt, but if you won't start taking our advice, then you may just as well give up.
you people may say that i don't but i know i will get the story done. you just wait and see.I assume you stopped reading my post at the point where I mentioned the story. In case of which, shame on you.
:lori:Also, I just wanted to point out that people are beginning to make fun of you and your (ab)use of :<!---->lori<!---->: .

sigh you guys take all the fun out of things you know that. look you say i sould give up all hope of there ever being a JJ3. there's like a 99.9% chance that there won't be a JJ3%. but i at lest just want to try my best to finsh the story then post it up here and if you still don't like it then well i wasted my time making it. but just let me finsh it then read the story befor saying that i sould give up i already have a perfect ending all lined up and everything. look the point is that most of you people just don't think that there will ever be a JJ3 right well then my advice would be if all posable then all the people how don't think JJ3 will be made and the just want to try and stop me making i say GET OUT OF THE FORUM AND STAY OUT. there i said it all of you who have been bagging me out about the story just get out of this forum and stay out please.:lori: }>

Will everybody shut the hell up! Lisen. If all your here for is to keep saying that Jazz3 will never then don't bother posting! We don't care what you think! At least were trying to do something while all you guys do it sit around going ow epic will never do this or do that! Instead of not having hope help us out! There may be a slim chance but what have we got to lose? The fact that ones fight and ones wrong!?!? Stop it! This is why Jazz3 hasn't come yet because we haven't shown epic that we want it to come! You all have no hope! Have hope! Something will happen weather it's in 1 2 or 10 years! Listen when I get older I'm going to become a game designer and using what I know I'll make jazz3 if I have to alone! Now we can wait that long or we can do something now! huff puff. That was a little much.

PS I'm still with you and you idea Coolpenutbutter.

If you get Epic to make this, thats bad for business.

I do not think that because one team wants to make a game (which has not been endorsed by any company and is in troubled trademark/legal grounds), an entire community should work against any attempt to empower the franchise. It's good to have people make efforts, but it's also definitely a rather backfiring attitude to say "don't do anything, just wait for us". That's one of the biggest failing reasons for projects - creating too much dependencies. If your project is well thought through and strong, it will probably work regardless of how outside factors work out. If your game engine and ideas are strong enough, even a non-endorsement by Epic would not crush it. So focus on making a strong game, not on tweaking the external world on your behalf.

sigh you guys take all the fun out of things you know that. look you say i sould give up all hope
WRONG. We never said give up hope. We just said that YOU Mr. Penutbutter, aren't gonna make it happen, and neither will a small petition. Games sell in the MILLIONS nowadays. That means each JCF member would need to buy about 1000 copies each for it to be close to a success.

there's like a 99.9% chance that there won't be a JJ3
78% of statistics are made up.

but i at lest just want to try my best to finsh the story then post it up here and if you still don't like it then well i wasted my time making it. but just let me finsh it then read the story befor saying that i sould give up i already have a perfect ending all lined up and everything.
YOU DON'T (-) UNDERSTAND. Do people play Unreal for its story? NO. You need more than a story to attract attention.

look the point is that most of you people just don't think that there will ever be a JJ3
*points at company MAKING THE (-) GAME.*

right well then my advice would be if all posable then all the people how don't think JJ3 will be made and the just want to try and stop me making i say GET OUT OF THE FORUM AND STAY OUT.
I'm sorry, but since when was your story Jazz 3? It's more like fan-fiction with no spell/grammar checking.

there i said it all of you who have been bagging me out about the story just get out of this forum and stay out please.
p.s you can stay as long as you just don't bag me out about the story.
I think it's obvious that if everyone is "bagging" you out, you should stop because you don't have support.

Will everybody shut the hell up! Lisen. If all your here for is to keep saying that Jazz3 will never then don't bother posting! We don't care what you think! PS I'm still with you and you idea Coolpenutbutter.
Not gonna take upart, but you guys don't (-)ing listen! AMBESOFTWARE IS MAKING JJ3. ANYTHING YOU MAKE COOLPENUTBUTTER DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AS JJ3 BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE A GAME. ALL YOU HAVE IS SOME (-) STUPID FAN FICTION. UNLESS YOU HAVE SOME 3D MODELS RENDERED AND GAMEPLY IDEAS, YOU SHOULD SHUT UP. This applies to both Coolpenutbutter and SonicNathan_1.

I do not think that because one team wants to make a game (which has not been endorsed by any company and is in troubled trademark/legal grounds), an entire community should work against any attempt to empower the franchise. What you said basically goes with what I'm saying. If you notice, I bolded game play references. Notice how they all focus on GAME? Jazz Jackrabbit is about a GAME. Not Final Fantasy with rabbits. Not Mario with rabbits. It is its own game, and as far as I can tell, you're writing a STORY.

Bottom line, somebody (if it's possible) should just change this topic title, and move it to the War Tavern. Because it is FAN FICTION.

*puff* Done now.

shade have you even read what i whort some time ago yes i know the AMBESOFTWARE is making the game. like i sayed some time ago that my story is a backup we may not need it but i'm making it just incase.:lori: :)
oh and ps you can stop trying to get me to stop but you won't i get picked on a lot at school for the story i'm writeing and the kids try to stop me but they never do so you people should stop trying to.

NovaStar

Talking of stop trying, you should both stop trying to get people to say and do what you want them to do, Mr. "Cool" PeanutButter and SonicNathan_1. Yes, I know how you guys must feel right about now (Pest Eliminators for example, I really hate to bring it up but I'm forced to, go search it and see for yourself if you must), but please, think realistically. Jazz Jackrabbit 1 & 2 were created from the Unreal engine, as was the Jazz Jackrabbit 3 demo. The Unreal engine, obviously, was originally designed to be used in Unreal and the following sequels. Unreal has made lots of money for Epic. JJ1 made a fair bit, but JJ2 didn't, neither did TSF, so obviously JJ3 was very unlikely. One publisher lost money on JJ2 because they didn't sell any other good games, so other publishers wouldn't want to take the risk of JJ3 because it might not work out. Epic will not make a game for a small community or "out of the goodness of their heart", they'll make it for money, and a Jazz Jackrabbit game is dicey in that area.

if i worked for epic and saw this thread and some other stuff in here, i would never even consider making a game for such a immature community.

i would, however, get a good laugh, and actually i just did.

FQuist

Shade, you're getting close to being flamey now. Do watch it.

Coolpeanutbutter, I think you are not being realistic, and you should not tell people what to do based on non-yet-materialized ideas. Epic is not going to make a game based on a couple hundred signatures, nor based on an early draft of a story.

However, I think you also shouldn't be told to just quit and there is way too much negativity here. In reply to that, can't you focus on something different than the arguing and making other people join up with draft projects, and concentrate on writing a good story/plot/game idea? The negativity here is kind of excessive, but you're also making it go on by focusing on replying to the negativity instead of doing your own thing regardless of what others think and focusing on just making a good story and on building something up. If it's good enough, people will join up. They won't be convinced by arguing.

This thread is absolutely useless and not beneficial to the community. It's doing nothing but creating arguments and causing confusion.

Coolpeanutbutter, if you love to write Jazz Jackrabbit stories, I suggest you pay a visit to the War Tavern and post some stories in there where they will be welcomed.

I think questioning someone's being in the community is a mean thing to do.

I would like this thread to get on-topic. Any further off-topic (=not about the story or jj3 plans) or flame-y posts will be deleted and might result in warnings.

I think you all have a point here. I'll close this.

I'll post a final reminder that these forums should be a positive place where contributions of all kinds are valued. So many pages spent on petty fighting over a simple story does not fit in that vision. It's not too hard to be constructive.
