Hello. I'm just starting out (literally, I have never played an online multiplayer game ever) and I just had a few questions.

a) I have JJ2 v1.20. While it is mentioned in many posts that v1.20 can be patched to 1.23, the Necessary Downloads section on jazz2online only has a patch that says 1.21 - 1.23. Do I use this patch for my own game as well?

b) Although the JCS of v.124 (TSF) is not compatible with 1.23-, can I use v.124 to successfully join, play and/or host 1.23 games and lower?

c) I was wondering which levels would be best to download with so that I could participate in some games.

Thanks.

a) 1.20 can be patched to 1.23 easily by using the registered version patch. I'm not sure about the patch you speak of, but you can download one that works for sure from my server here (http://downlink.lordprime.com/jazzjackrabbit/2/patches/j2patch_123r.exe).

b) 1.23 levels work in 1.24 fine. you'll even be able to play in 1.23 servers by doing some minior modifications to 1.24. On the other hand you cannot always successfully join 1.24 servers with 1.23.

c) Download section (http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/downloads/browse.php) lists a number of fine downloads. If you're looking for multiplayer levels, I suggest you try out the latest anniversary bash collections. Those normally contain a lot of good multiplayer levels handpicked by the community.

Have fun.
