This is just a suggetson but adding somthing like king of the hill and nodes (as called in metroid hunters) could be fun in JJ2. By the way. It is carped enuf with 3 other friend on one PC. you whould need a big moneter and wirrles controllers to not pe craped with more then four players. and also way stop at making enimies. Makeing charters and wepond might be a littlet fun or atlest cotumizable states. (Id be all speed little power and normal defence) Also what about adding more laryes that you can walk on and events on layers.

why?if you arent good at playing games that doesnt mean that making new enemies isnt fun for the good ones and even for the ones that arent good.notice that not only you are on this communitty and others may like this! And about custom game modes now you have 1.23+ Christmas Release patch, that has:
-team battle
-roast tag
-king of the hill
-last rabbit standing

Except it doesn't have roast tag... :P (You can find that in Carrotade, though)

yes,but 1.23+its gooder than 1.23 or 1.24 +carrotade, because 1.23+ has lrs and koth, which carrotade hasnt, and 1.23+fixes things and add new features that some of them carrotade doesnt have.anyway, that 1.23+ and carrotade thing is way too far by this thread subject :P

Just fix the system so that you won't get any packetlosses.

It would be nice if 1.25 will be inish :D

My ideas:
1.Stop the odd single-player glitch that 1.23+ has.
2.Fix the memory bugs.
3.Water inhabits layer 4.5 (covered by 1-4, yet not 5-8.)
4.Doubt it's possibility, but since people are suggesting new enemies: Adjust the enemies so they are at least a little smart. (Turtles dodge and bite more often.)
Special almost impossible adds (that would need a new JCS most likely):
1. A "code" event. Enter some sort of C code and specify a sprite (*.png, *.bmp, *.gif)
2. More events per a tile.
3. "Music change" event. The music could get all dark when you enter a cave, and would be cheery diamondus when you exit.

1)2 or more events on a tile
Sounds nice.
26)in jcs make options to choose the way the textured background is (why not making a I | I instead of horizontal texture background
I've always thought something like that would be nice!

I'd love to see more spaces for saved games, 5 are never enough for me :(

1.25 needs vector images and very smooth zooming... there should be an event that sets the zoom to a certain percentage of the default size and it should be able to choose the speed the zooming to that percentage takes place with.. also there should be an event to lock/unlock manual zooming. in splitscreen stuff should be zoomed out to 50% by default. the warp event should get a 'zoom effect' parameter: if it's set to 1 the screen will be zoomed out rapidly and then zoom back in on the target... in levels there should be a setting that if the game is played in team mode and you are near a team mate or your own base, the zoom may be altered a bit (and the camera position too) so that the team mate or base is visible.
btw, this'll make 100% CPU at least more needed, however it would be still too much imo

It would be great if when TNT explodes, the radius of the explosion have a zoom effect (like in FEAR). Another thing can be invisibility carrots, hurting carrots and acid rain (that hurts the player it touches). Hope this patch gets out soon.

Some more things:
Turn Event
Changes the level by tilting it # Degrees clockwise/counter-clockwise, effectively "changing" the gravity.
Bubba Boss Fix
When boss is defeated, he turns into an angel and flies off the level (sprites are in JJ2, I checked.)
*.OGG File Usage
Allows Ogg Vorbis files to be played as music. (Not wav/mp3 because OGG is a lot smaller)
Episode Selection Screen
Makes it so when you have more than # episodes, they shrink to 40% size, and line up next to eachother. Main reason of this would be to prevent people from getting so worked up about *.j2e files with level packs.
Also, it would be good if custom episodes were always put AFTER the official ones.

I say we stick with mods, they are a lot smaller than OGG's ;)
Really, more choice is always better. If you're gonna support more music formats, you might as well support as much as possible.

streamed formats suck and should not be supported. I can always use [your choice mp3 player here] to play mp3s, oggs, etc

It would be difficult to do, but It would be great to bring back some enemies from JJ1 (Like the lasers on the floor and in the ceilings in Tubelectric, missiles, those... "tanks" in Marbelara, cyborg turtles... etc), but edited with better graphics for JJ2.

Spritewise wouldn't be totally difficult (just time consuming)
For example, most of Nick's sprites for Episodes A-C just need a few minor touchups and a pallete change to fit in:

I thought we weren't adding completely new features? Otherwise, we might as well add Eva and Devan and redraw Lori's sprites in Nick Stadler's style.

And also multiple events.
