Okay,
Trying modj2b on another computer, I fianally got a conversion of GAME02.hmp to convert to .j2b
BUT...
Still, when I load it, it says "Unsupported Music file" why?
can someone suggest a music converter for midi or hmp to .669, .AM, .FAR, .MOD, .XM, .IT, .MTM, .PTM, .S3M, .STM or.ULT?
The music world is confusing...

For j2b files you write GAME02 instead of GAME02.j2b... that could be the problem?
*not sure*

Nope...
I think my understanding of it, is that .j2b is a shortcut (Maybe?) to the file. so i *Really* need that converter... (:-/

Ok it's not going to be easy to convert it to a useable .mod file but it should be possible:
-first get the ffemidi.zip file on this page (http://www.mhetherington.demon.co.uk/elite/jjffe/about.htm) and convert the file to a midi file. (.mid)
-next get modplug tracker, the tutorial version that comes with general midi samples, from modplug.com (http://www.modplug.com), at least if the site is still online. I'm too lazy to check. now you should be able to open the midi file in modplug and save it as a .it file, which jj2 should be able to read just fine. (you don't need to change the music to .j2b format: just type in the full filename with the extension in the level music field)
okey doke. that should do it. good luck.
