GpW, the Gurus of Proactive Warfare have been inactive over a period just longer than a month now. Actually, we were announced dead in Jazz Jackrabbit 2. However, times change, and so do people's opinions on certain things.

Because of that, we are now active in JJ2 again, note that this doesnt mean we are the 'active' you know as today. We'll play our few games, arrange a friendly sometime, and all of the occasional stuff while we lurk around here. But, I can tell you now, this does NOT mean we're dead. GpW has just reached 5 years old, thats OLD for a clan, you all know GpW has had its rough spots, but all of those are tempoary, so, what more is there to say? GpW is BACK IN JJ2!!!

Following the announcement, there are a few details that we would like to rbing to light, this wasn't a 'spur of the moment' decision afterall ;)

EDIT: Distruct is now a GpW after many years of inactivity from JJ2, I'm sure some of you know him, he rocks, so let's give him a BIG welcome!
It is true that he's not the best player right now, but I dont doubt his skill, the guy used to own me on splitscreen back in the days we were at South Africa, just give time for the rust to wear off ;)

As for the rest of the announcements boss wants me to put up, I think I'll copy and paste them,how can anyone leave boss out of the official GpW RELOADED announcement? ;)

We are reloaded, so (PA)... we are back at the old conditions. The rule is simple "FUN"". Something that 99% of the clans forget, even if its pro or ama.

I talked with my war organiser, and I'd like to challenge GpW to a friendly 3 vs. 3 clanwar, in diamondus warzone (Capture3). Till 10, 2 rounds (when one team reaches 5 points, the first round is done). Each round every team a different color. Neutral host (preferably a no-clanner with a very fast connection) for both rounds.

So I assume this means you're not accepting? And I'm not saying that noob clans can't be good. The strength of your members didn't die, only the clan did so it will still be a great challenge.

I had this in mind before, but sadly, you died before I could contact the ECCs about what they thought about it and officially challenge you.

I challenged more clans, not only this one, I am waiting for a clan to reply. We want some 3 vs. 3s in Capture3.

Btw, I got word from Jolt, he told me to challenge GpW, in the name of TEC. In other words, this post is a formal challenge to GpW from The Elemental Clan (a 3 vs. 3 Capture3 till 10).

Well, that's kind of disappointing. I wanted to see how GpW plays nowadays. I'm sure they still have some measure of great clan war battling, but I'm not sure how much. Most GpWs haven't played in a while, so they might be a bit rusty.

Can you fill us in on why the request was denied?

(Someone got a warning for asking this earlier, and if I missed a request to not ask, sorry. I'm not trying to break any rules here. Far from it.)

In my opinion, I think this won't go far. No offence, I like each and every member of GpW, but just let this good old clan go down in pride, not die in denial.

Anyways, minor speech time, I'm at school and REALLY bored, so I'll start typing to make the time fly by :D

First of all, I must agree on your statements that restarting a clan is a bit silly. I would have much rather seen boss announce the clan in a state of 'hybernation' than officially end it. I mean, that's what happened in the first place, GpW had a period of inactivity, then returned to JJ2. However, even if we wanted to have somehting like that happen, it was not our decision. That is something we should accept, and realiize that it was Shadow who would make the decision in the end. Of course when the clan closed, we respected his choice, even if some members were a bit shocked at the outcome of the decision (I'm sure you all saw the rants on there), the decision was made.

All of this of course, was in the past, and things change, whether we like it or not. It's a fact of human life, everything changes, and sure, Shadow's decision changed. Sure you're welcome to rant about it as much as you like, but you cant really force a person to suddenly change a decision Shadow has planned for a long period of time (I know he has and several other people can say the same). Afterall, it is his decision, and you should accept it, just like we (the GpW crew) had to accept his decision of closing down the clan. Now don't tell me this is a huge suprise to you, this has happened many times before. It's the curse of JJ2, it haunts you and controls you, and the very day you try and avoid it, it strikes back with full force. Come on, be honest, how many of you have said you 'officially' left JJ2, and are still here? I know I have, and not just once, quite a few times. Actually, I think I could go as far as saying every time a person has announced that they will leave, they have come back.

This game just rocks too much, and so does my clan :D
