I take it you've all seen the pics from IGN of Jazz GBA. at first, I was glad to hear that Jazz was finally seeing the light of day again, but then I actually saw the pics... and I was devostated!

his new design is terrible!! it doesn't match the psychotic green bunny toting a huge gun at all!!!

He looks like a high-school nerd holding a bazooka. Thye've made him too fluffy and cutesy..

I would say that we should do a petition or something to request that they change his sprites back to normal, but then again, they might just give up on the project if it gets to be a pain.

I also don't know how the rest of the community feels, but I don't think that it was a wise desicion to change him like that.

I suppose I'll just shut up now and live with it, but when I turn on my GBA, it's just not gonna feel right.

I was just trying to make a minstream topic because the other ones are all supposed to be for other things.. plus, I've been away from the forums for a long time, and wasn't aware of the other topics until after I made this one.

(note to Derby: you can take it down if you wish)

They even threatened J2O. If we'll give any more negative opinions they will sue J2O.

I don't see a reason why to spam them. Okay, I have to admit it is not how we expected to see him, but you WILL grow into loving the game! Yess! ;)

I doubt I will love the game. Sue J2O? if they did couldnt we use that to make them unpopulair?:p
Only solution is to sue them? whatever:p
I wouldnt be complaining if they called him something other than jazz jackrabbit and they didnt say anything about any of the jazz characters in it..and that it wasnt the past or future of jazz.

But sue individual jazzers!?!?!? no way!

well... I've been thinking.. Maybe we shouldn't complain.. Jazz may look a little dorkish, but at least this game is a step towards another PC Jazz game, and one of the small threads of hope that can help keep this communtiy from falling apart.

As more information has come up, we now know that Cliffy did want Jazz to be spiffed up a little, but THAT wasn't exactly what he had in mind.. And, we also know that this game has sparked a re-interest in Jazz, and he mentioned a few times of another possible PC game, where Jaz will look like that rabbit we know and love.

I figure that if the GBA game sells well, JJ3's chances of coming back from the dead will be quite good, so let's do whil Cliffy told us, and "make some noise" uh... and by that I mean tell people about it.

Exactly. It's not like they read our complaints, anyway.

Cliffy has/had little to do with the character's designs, anyway.

They won't be quite good, but they will be better. And that's all we can ask for at this point.

I posted information about it into CliffyB's topic. Bobby pasted the letter in it's entirety into #jj2, I'm wary of posting it here since EvilMike thought that it was a bad idea. So I'm not posting it. But the general idea of the letter was "if you don't praise this game, we threaten your web host with a law suit and they shut you down."

Hopefully this happen, and I will do everything in my mostly non-existant power to stop it. ;-P

Right??

Anyway that sounds dumb. I don't know about all y'all Europeans, but here in America we've got a right to free speech, and they cannot do this, we are just expressing our opinions.

I meant stopping J2O from closing. And I'm not European. Is my grammar that bad? ;-P

We, the 'europeans', do have freedom of speech too, on paper, at least.

There isn't such thing as totally free speech, neither in America. You can be harassed and through lawsuits, lawsuit treats, or funding cuts you can be silenced. This often happens, 'even' in America.

Haha, Americans go around bragging about free speech...way to let government controlled public education control your thinking. We don't have true freedom of speech. Do you think you could say something like "I am going to blow up the white house" and then not get in trouble? We Americans sit around getting all stupid about how we think we're free but guess what, you're no more free than most countries.

But that's dumb and off topic.

Que Passa!!!!

Hate to continue the offtopicness, but I agree with Fquist & Spaztic. That brings the total up to 3 people who think that the whole "Freedom of Speach" thing has MAJOR loopholes.

I am an American, and Freedom of Speech is just an excuse so the government can do what ever they really want. And still... There is never going to be a Utopia, so Ill stick with the US of A.

Tik

The US is worse than most countries...most people here are depend upon the government in some form or another, and they trust it too well, and the government is not easily changed to avoid and punish corruption. Americans very clearly are taught to automatically accept the government and what it is doing, and that we are somehow "lucky" to be living here.
