about this?

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/076151709X/qid=1035643968/sr=32-1/ref=sr_32_1_etk-books/104-8620338-8997542

I certainly didn't. Does anyone have this guide? Any interesting material?

Yes... and at one point you could read (at least some of) it online at http://www.won.net/guides/prima/jazz2/main.html ... not anymore of course. It wasn't overly great if I remember correctly..

As a matter of fact, i did know. I saw it at some kind of literary event a few years ago. I had a few short looks in it, it included stuff like where the secrets are in single player. It wasn't very interesting really.

Que Passa!!!!

OOH OOH! ME ME! I HAVE IT! ME ME ME!

Actually, it's good but it gets a lot of things wrong. It says tubelectric is the inside of a pinball machinie (I mean, sure they added a few bumpers and pistons, but it remains a planet.) and it says that Spaz calls down a bluebird to sing him a song when you wait for too long... Disreguarding the fact that he eats it shortly after it lands on his finger.
Other then that, it DID improve my score, but I still liked knowing that I had beaten that one boss (The spaceship with the spiked wrecking ball?) without destroying his wrecking ball. Sure he may have eaten up 9 of my lives in a row, but it was an accomplishment I'm sure I could never repeat.

That said, it ALSO has a little blurb in the introduction from Cliff! It talks about how Jazz AND Spaz were designed and came into being.

In fact, the only thing wrong with the book is that it can't withstand too much presure before the pages start to fall out like notebook paper...

I also have the guide. Border's Books & Music has it on back order.

It's really not very interesting. I didn't learn anything from it, but that's likely because I had already been playing for 3 years by the time I got the guide. Still, it's an interesing piece of Jazz history to own. I don't really think it's worth the money, but if you want it, several book stores will ship it within a month or so (in time for Christmas!)

I've got a copy as well. Quite nice literature. :) And of course a great collectable.

Heard of it, but I really don't want to get it.

Just in case anyone cares:

I ordered this through Borders Books and Music (they got it from Amazon.com) last Christmas and, despite the claim it arrived in 1 to 2 days, it actually took over a month because it was (and likely still is) on back order, despite what it says. But it did arrive. It wasn't very detailed, but it's still a good collector's piece. Just a buyer beware that it might take quite a while to arrive if you order it.

I own it. :P So nyah. Actually, it's quite cool, except that they have pointless tips, and seriously, anyone who needs help getting through those single player levels... Ugh... But other than that, I bought it for 99 cents at a used book store. In nearly mint condition. So nyah. And you ain't missing much.

Yeah, this is really old. I think there's a link to this on the Daily Carrot, too. I never got it, kind of pointless since the SP is so insanely easy.

That's a word. Daily carrot. I think there soon is the 4th anniversary of the last news :)!

Who honestly needs HELP on those official levels? And I'm betting with all these new events and discoveries, if it had MP hints, they'd be obsolete. I think the community should make a guide with hints for all gametypes, including fanmade ones, and put it online. Hey, maybe that's a good idea...*trails off*

Honestly, "The daily carrot" should be renamed "The dead carrot" or "The yearly carrot".
Don't count on you find something intresting more there. I tried submit some links they should have added, nothing happended.
And in their links, almost evry link dosen't work becuse the jazz sites died years ago.

The web master, Jeh (who coincidentally must die), has not updated the web site in quite a while and is obviously no longer checking any submitted information. The page was never really daily. It's sad to see it go unupdated, but we still have Jazz2Online, which is definitely a better resource than the sparse information and few downloads you can find on jazzjackrabbit.com. The only use that web site is would be getting it so we could get any player who can't connect to the list server to get the list server patch. Otherwise, the site's pretty dead. I hate to be so gloomy, but often I think that maybe it should be renamed "The We'll-Update-it-if-We-Get-A-Profit-Which-Is-Highly-Unlikely Carrot."

I got one just for my little Jazz collection....

But there's a book store near me that has a huge stack of them in mint condition for about $5 canadian.

If anyone wants one, just email me at Hellraiser_911@hotmail.com and I'll get one to you, for $5 American (hey, gotta make a little profit :p). but, depending on where you live, the shipping could vary.

it's a collector's item.. but it doesn't provide much info..

The Daily Carrot oughta be renamed "The Should-Be-Updated-Considering-Jazz-Is-Going-To-GBA-And-Looking-Like-A-Han-Solo-Ripoff-Carrot".

Five dollars.. I'll admit I'm tempted.
