JJ2 isn't abandonware. The shareware is available at many download sites (do not use Warez, regardless of who it is from.) If you want the full version, either look for it on EBay or buy it from one of the people that sell it around this MB. :)

Welcome to the JCF, by the way.

JJ2 is not legal to download. Do not accept links from Craccoboy on this subject. And as Trafton said, try eBay, Aiko, Haze, or anyone else with an extra copy.

Welcome to the JCF! (:

Actually, the shareware version is harder to find than one would think. Broken links ABOUND. (:

Try this:
http://www.5star.nsm.co.uk/Games/Arcade/jazz-jackrabbit2-download.html

Not all the servers work, try a couple of different ones.

To buy JJ2, you can try ebay, or the bargain bin of your local compusa, or such (:

I wouldn't even trust eBay, the people act like weirdos on that site.

Well, shake my hand and call me wierdo, then--cause I'm an avid eBayer. (:

A lot of people have worries about ebay, but the truth is there's very little theft/corruption/other stuff. It's comparable to the chance you have of getting ripped off in the real world.

Heh, if you do choose to use Warez just use it at your own risk.

Actually, that's not the case.

There is plenty of software (e.g. OMF) the authors of which have released it into the public domain. That is completely legitimate abandonware.

Yeah, anything with the source code released officially can be considered abandonware. Jazz isn't abandonware (yet). Just don't do Warez. No matter how "safe" it may be, the truth is that it is one hundered percent illegal and you could be fined more than a hundered times that amount that it would actually cost if you were to be caught using it. Regardless of what CraccoBoy says, it's plainly wrong.

Yes. But in that case it's not called abadonware :P.

I had to delete about half of this thread, the discussion about warez is not helpful to the author of this thread in any way.

This board does not accept warez. They are illegal. Laws are to be followed.

If you're interested in a copy of The Secret Files you should try reaching <a href="mailto:aiko.recke@t-online.de">Aiko</A>.

Aiko sells the Polish version, which includes all normal Jazz2 levels, the Christmas expansion pack. And the Easter expansion pack. However, this version is incompatible with online play on version 1.23. Which is what most users on this forum use.

Not even E-bay sells JJ2 all the time. Only time i found it in stores was:
1. In 98 (all over stores)
2. In 02 from a misship to menards being sold for $6
Its a rare game these days. You'll have to order it from epic.
