What clans would you all warn new or old players against? (Yes, we all know about DDL, but what others?

Trafton
Feb 11, 2003, 11:10 AM
AA and RK also claim to be rebel clans. There is no need to warn new players, as it often simply causes them to panic and/or ban anyone who even "might be" a member of these clans. They rarely attack servers, and it's better to refrain from telling them until something actually happens.

Didn't RK die, according to Bolt? RK only had 3 members anyway, Nazgul, Bolt and (lazy) Paladin this time around.

He has been temporarily banned until February 18 because he passed the warning limit. He has committed several offenses.

He already had three warnings for quite a while. I think he did something small that was one step too far. At least, that's what I've heard.

Blackraptor
Feb 12, 2003, 04:34 PM
So its like he's been suspended...
Anyways, there arent much clans which you should warn new people about, i think they are smart enough to know if the clan is behaving well or if the members arent acting appropriate.

from what I've heard CB was banned for telling MoonBlaze to "shut up and never talk to me again". I think he also said he'd give JJ2 to people over ICQ once or twice too.

This was actually the final warning, and in no way was the only reason why the ban was taken place. CraccoBoy has been given enough extra chances and they were broken. The ban is one week and it shall remain that way; no more, no less.

Changing your mind again FQuist? On the DDL Board all you mentioned was the warez and the "shut up".

Trafton
Feb 16, 2003, 08:25 PM
He never changed his mind. The warnings system is concrete senquential. The final warning may have been the personal attack, but the previous three warnings were just as much of the ban as the final warning is.

VelKa
Feb 16, 2003, 08:44 PM
This is somewhat confusing. I hereby assume that someone is living in a basement, actually. As far as the banning, if someone deserves it, s/he deserves it. There is actually no biased-ness involved in this here banning, in my opinion. Perhaps...perhaps you CC members should calm down, at least a little? ;-P

Let's talk about Microsoft's ideals. Let's talk about them in a very specific and personal way. If you disagree with my claim that many ignoramuses have an intense identification with the most rapacious practitioners of ethnocentrism I've ever seen, then read no further. Developing a policy of inclusion will not be easy, because if I didn't sincerely believe that Microsoft's lapdogs are stampeding happily and mindlessly toward the precipice of brown-nosing, semi-intelligible negativism, then I wouldn't be writing this letter.

It is probably unwise to say this loudly, but some organizations are responsible and others are not. Microsoft falls into the category of "not". You might think this is all pretty funny now, but I doubt I'll hear you laughing if, in the coming days, Microsoft is successfully able to inculcate gruesome refrains. At the risk of repeating myself, I must reiterate that Microsoft's argument that every featherless biped, regardless of intelligence, personal achievement, moral character, sense of responsibility, or sanity, should be given the power to convince innocent children to follow a path that leads only to a life of crime, disappointment, and destruction is hopelessly flawed and utterly circuitous. Microsoft's self-fulfilling prophecies smack of scapegoatism. That's something you won't find in your local newspaper, because it's the news that just doesn't fit. I'd like to finish with a quote from a private e-mail message sent to me by a close friend of mine: "Microsoft equates non-cooperation and solitariness with individuality".

I'm sorry, but I must argue the point of diseappearance and how it relates to Microsoft. If you look at page three, it shows that no matter what direction and arrow points, it is still curved. While this logic seems to be disproved by the theory of Euclid, it makes sense that if you take an XP CD and give it to Bill Gates he will make an illegal copy of it, ignoring the label that was convientely put on the CD by his own company stating "DO NOT MAKE ILLEGAL COPIES OF THIS DISK". This therefore shows you that the world goes round because of the turnip people hiding beneath our feet waiting for a perfect time to dine on our floppy disks. However, I cannot agree with the reasoning behind the fact that the ball will not open by any amount of human force, but instantaneously opens when an inanimate object applies force through movement of the left joint in the eye.

No offense meant by my post (funny how you need to actually put that in posts over here, no?), but I don't really think that any of those above posts were meant to attack CC in any way. I'm actually quite suprised that the above mentioned clans did not shout "PERSONAL ATTACK!" when they were called n00bs, people should learn from examples like that and this will be a better place for all.

This thread was started in order to inform people of clans with a not-so-good reputation so that they could learn to avoid them, and nowhere do I see CC, DK, DM, FoR, GpW, TF, or TRC mentioned to be in this list. DDL, AA, and RK (which is mentioned dead and no longer a threat) are the only clans in this list mentioned so far, as it has been pretty clear by their actions and statements that they are not the best clan to be in.

However, this while thread has gone off-topic since the 4th post, which can be annoying for people who want to come here to be informed, and a side effect of this is quite a heated debate. So, jokes aside people, keep on topic now...pretty please ;)

Edit: Clearly I've been spending too much time in PSP while typing this, I started right after craccoboy's post, but the message still applies, be good :D

Rotfl, why are you bringing yerself so over the top by that when you claimed in the past you dont care what people say on the internet, then why are you going breserk if some one says something.....

Anyhow, [GpW] (or atleast i do) Don't care if we are called n00bs oldies, elite, dorks or what ever, it won't bring a crack in it. We are a team/friends and we play for zie fun sometimes. This game is for me no real value anymore _BUT_ it's the people that keep me in here :-)

but something is funny here we use words in JJ2 but in games like Counter-Strike, WarCraft or RTCW you fight it out at the actual battlefield of the game in Cups or Ladders. TO claim your right, perhaps its handy to do it here aswell....

hahahahaha I find that funny so a clan doesn't fit in with the prerequsites that you have set for a clan so they are labeled as "rebels" but if you think about it then everyone is a rebel because they have their own free will to think and act on their own and anyways what is so bad about this clan? what did they ever do? so they do things a little bit different is that really that bad? maybe I should dumb this down for all of you because most of have been claiming you can not understand any of my posts because they actually may be oh go do I say it? intellectual and I sometimes use words that may require a dictionary to understand, anyways I'm done for now I'll be back to rant later, I now use you people to vent. hahahahaha

You would have a good point here. However, both label themselves as rebel clans, and therefore my assumption is not out of place.

Espio, your arguments would make more sense if you learned how to use punctuation and grammar properly. You may use what you consider to be 'big words' but without any structure it is just a bunch of nonsense. Also, if you cannot even spell your alleged big words correctly your false sense of intellegence is unmasked. Also it is clear you can't even read properly since Trafton already identified that these clans claim to be "rebel" clans. The clans label themselves this way, it was not some sort of biased accusation.
