Wow! I was looking around for JJ2 on google for old time's sake and found this site again. To my surprise it was actually updated and there were posts on the forums! Do you guys still host any servers? I would love to play this game again, it's been a couple years since I've seen ANY action on the JJ2 servers. I checked the page where you can see current servers and there is one going, but it's private.... why would you make a private server for a game this unplayed? I would think the more the merrier! But maybe it's not so unplayed I hope??? I can leave a server up sometimes, I think, if any people would like one. Hosting a JJ2 server wouldn't drain too many resources would it? I'm seeing all these names that I remember, Dizzy, JJTublear, Overlord, ShadowGPW, FQuist, it's crazy! Does anyone remember Snapper? He was the craziest Jazz player I'd ever seen. oh yeah, I'm P´ÿrô if anyone remembers that. Alright, see yahs!

I think I remember you and yes, we are still here (as far as I know). Other than the killer llamas, there is not much to worry about. Welcome back! :)

"why would you make a private server for a game this unplayed?"
1. So not just anyone can get in.
2. It's not unplayed, you just seem to have come during the period of the day when there are the least servers. In a few hours after I post this, lots of TSF games should be up, and about 13 hours after I post this, 1.23 should be dominant.

I'm still playing. And whenever I feel like it I continue my work on my 2nd puzzle level: Aerial Precision.

Anyway you missed a lot of joints since you've been gone, especially a couple of new game types. And puzzle owns them all, it even ownz CTF & Battle.

I am "new" here too... I have played Jazz Jackrabbit games since 1994. I have all versions of jj2 too. Just today I got to know that there is such a thing as Jazz3. It is a pity that it was cancelled!

WB Pyro, I do remember you.

Hello Joulu, welcome to the forum of insanity.

People still play Jazz2. Not as much as years ago when there might be 3 pages (nostalgia.), but still some. I host servers sometimes, in fact.

People host private servers so that they can have a 1 on 1 duel or 2 on 2 or whatever on whatever, or so that they can test a level without too much meyhem, or so that they can have a private chat conversation.

Holy unmentionable...

I actually remember you, Pyro. We played once on a cattle server with someone named Feathers, ages ago. (you probably don't know who I am, but who cares.) ;-P

Welcome home. =)

Woo! Pyro! WB ^___^

I wonder what the oldest sidescroller game with a strong following is. Bet Jazz2's getting high on that list ^__^

I haven't played since I lost JJ2 years ago, and haven't posted since the whole Jazz GBA announcement.

Course, if I were to attain JJ2 again, I'd play again no doubt. ;-)

What's commander keen like? I've never seen or heard anything about that game..

The only thing you really need to know about Commander Keen is that there is no netplay. Therefore it is inferior to JJ2. :D

OMG! Where have you been?

Commander Keen is one of the first shareware games ever, and actually the game that made the genre big. Check http://commanderkeen.pagina.nl

4I Falcon: IMO Keen is better than Jazz.
