I have Version 1.0.0.1 of Jazz 2, and it does not seem to get upgraded to a higher version, everytime i try to upgrade it using the Shareware or the Registered patch, it says : couldn't complete patching because of missing files..(the original filename of the Jazz 2 game i have is Jazz2w.exe, don't know what that means.) i also can't play any downloaded levels on it , however, i use Windows XP.
and BTW, I reinstalled the game 2 times, and still, the same problem.
so, is there any solutions to fix that problem?

I assume you're on a Macintosh because of your version number. Are you sure you are using the Mac patches and not the Windows ones? What version have you been trying to upgrade to?

I am trying to upgrade it to Version 1.23, I tried using the patches at: http://www.jazzjackrabbit.com/dl120123.htm
none of them worked, tho, I don't know whether they are Mac patches or Windows patches.

1.23 is a Windows version, I believe.

Of course it's a windows version.. "i use Windows XP."
1.0.0.1 is in the file properties for Jazz2.exe.. it has nothing to do with it's "real" version number (which is seen in the menu when running JJ2)

I runned Jazz 2 and looked in the menu now, at the bottom of it, it says 1.00 g or something like that.
er, does that mean that it's version 1.00?oo

Hahahaha, I was wondering about that.
That is in the Mac version format, but it is not the actual version number. Just what it displays in the properties.
There is a big problem with patching Jazz 2 after having played it. If any, and I mean any, of the original files that came with Jazz have been overwritten, deleted, or generally modified, it will not patch the game. How to ignore this problem? There is no simple way. The best course of action is to copy all of the files that need patching from your Jazz 2 CD to your Jazz 2 folder. If you do not have your Jazz 2 CD any longer...well...we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

(dalspots' previous post was posted before mine, and I could not read it in time.)
That means you probably have the OEM version of Jazz 2. A rare find.
