I have made many total conversions in Doom 2, including one where you have to fight an army of poop. If some of you were willing to make 3D sprites for Jazz, Spaz, etc. than we could make a Jazz Doom conversion.

You do it. You're acting like we all don't have enought to do already.

Ask Dean or Cliffy...they should help you. :)

Why bother doing a Doom conversion and just make a UT or UT2K3 total conversion?

Dean is busy working on his movie right now and Cliffy is busy building an alter to Unreal. And Dean is always being bothered about the 3d Jazz models, he's already said it's illegal to give them out.
I would make the models, but I only model for free for programmers. Editers can always pay me to do it, though.

Ninja Dodo made a 3-d Jazz once. But I don't know if it would be useable; and I'm not sure if he's around.

I emailed him about it. He would've given it to me, but I can't read .max format and he couldn't convert it.

Max format?
with the .3DS extension?
I can convert those to something that will work on Quake II or 3D game studio (3D game studio can use Quake II models).
The problem is, however, that the original model must have quite a bit of polygons, and won't work well in a game engine. At least to my knowledge. Also, the skin won't import with the model, so it would have to be reskinned...Ah, and with GameStudio's model editor (which I use until I get something good), I would have to import the model one frame at a time... Hrm... That means I may not be able to work that out well unless I had a seperate program that would save the model in all the positions of it's animations as seperate .3DS files.
I hope to get Milkshape sometime, though, and with that I can create models for hordes of different game engines. But I'm only going to use it for 3D GameStudio.
By the way, as I hear it, models can come by quite cheaply... Hmm... Another note: Seeing as how this would be for Doom, I've heard that someone already took images from the Jazz1 bonus stages (remember, it shows jazz from all around), and made a Jazz character for Doom. Perhaps, seeing as finding that file would be quite a chore, you can do the same? *Alt+Print Scr* ;)
I won't be joining the team for this, though, as I already have a project. Good luck.

.max format actually uses the .max extension.

You must have been really bored to make an army of poop. WHat would you be changing in doom? Making Jazz based levels with turtles or something or just changing the sprites. You could make a 3rd person DOOM game like that sonic one. That would be cool and you could easily take the sprites from the bonus stages.

I don't know the Unreal engine, but I know the Doom one rather well.... I could change the text and all, and all the sprites, sounds, etc.

Doom is fun. I probably would not be much help in the sprite-making, but I'll play it ^_^
