Directional shooting
Just imagining something, and remembered an idea from ages ago.
What if Jackrabbit could shoot upward with momentum while jumping, downward while falling, at angles such as in JJA, etc.

I guess it would break a couple levels, but nothing worse. Might actually be fun.
