Yeah, I'd like some concrete dates before I make any decisions.

I, for one, would prefer to travel by train. It's smoother, quieter, and more comfortable; there's a toilet; and nobody has to drive. It's also generally faster, assuming we only visit stuff in cities. That said, there could be a substantial saving if we rented a car, depending on fuel consumption.
