Original a typo by Velk when she meant to upvote cats. EvilMike made fun of her by also upvoting cags, and it just kind of branched out from there. Now lots of people upvote cags every day (except for Pyromanus who downvotes it).

It was also revived when Dalspots made the typo and it got alot of attention.
