Introduced by Stijn and ChippieBW, “Nederlands Uurtje” (which stands for something like “dutch little hour”) is a description of a certain period in #jj2 when the main language used shifts from English to Dutch. This usually occurs when the channel is in an idle state or when the two usual participants (Stijn and ChippieBW) agree that the current discussion is crap and decide to talk about something else, which is easier to do in their mother language. The usual subjects during the “Nederlands Uurtje” are different every time: usually it is about music, webdesign or the Latin language. While “Nederlands Uurtje” indicates that this period should last for one hour, most of the times it ends a lot earlier when a non-Dutch person or #jj2 Op decides to end the fun. Also, when other persons decide to join the conversation, the used language switches back to English.
