Information on Tickbot (1 entry)

One of the two main bots of #jj2, Tickbot is generally seen as the "entertainment" bot of the channel, its main features being jabber (random excerpts from the last 100 lines) rsg (random sentences). Tickbot was made and is currently maintained by Spaztic.

It was originally started as more of a "filler" project for Tick, it at first only carried a few very basic functions, such as response commands. However, following its noticable popularity, it soon grew and unique commands were created for it, the first and most significant of which was RSG (Random Sentence Generator).

RSG generates fairly random sentences, allowing you to select nouns/verbs/adjectives/etc. to place in the sentence. It comes with several pre-defined (and often updated) sentence structures, but also lets you create your own, using a fairly easy-to-understand syntax.

Jabber, the other main function of Tickbot, takes random fragments from the last 100 lines of text in the channel and pastes them together randomly. Many lines are not included in Tickbot jabber lines, such as ones which consist of "hahaha", tickbot/monobot commands, or lines that are less than 6 characters long. Tickbot also comes with an "autojabber" feature which automatically does jabber at a predefined intreval, as set by ops.
