When someone puts in their download description “Just download it, it can’t do any harm,” I get slightly scared. Still, this is a useful tool (I guess) for anyone who is German and doesn’t know enough English to operate in a normal JCS environment. There isn’t really that much more to add other than please do not rate this. It’s not his creation originally, and it should not be rated as so. Still, if you really really need a German JCS.INI (I suppose for a few people, it could be a good thing), this is it. I can’t verify how well the German was translated since I go not know German, but I’m sure that it was at least decent.
Oh, and as a note: I’m not sure whether this fits into the category of Commercial Software for Download. It is a support file, but I know uploading JCS.EXE is illegal. Just keep a watch out.
+ PROS: If you’re new to JCS and German, I suppose this could be useful.
- CONS: It could be illegal. And ALWAYS BACK UP JCS.INI FIRST, regardless of what the level descriptor says.
VERDICT: Since it is not his creation, I can not rate this. Still, assuming it is legal, I guess German JCSers who are new to JCS“ing” and can’t understand what the English JCS text says could find some benefit in this. Still, I have a sneaking feeling that this has been done before. Hmm.

I’m Dutch, and I can speak a little German, so if you are German and you have JCS and you are a beginner, you may have a quik look.[This review has been edited by spazz]

I think this is great, I think it was kewl that someone would make a “german” form of JCS. Like what if the German player didn’t speak any english? this would be great for someone like that. This is a good oppertunity for someone to learn german lol well good job!

Since I don’t understand a word of German, and I assume the majority of people here aren’t German, so I don’t find this particularly useful. I don’t think it should be rated, so I won’t rate it.

German JCS INI
For all the Germans, here’s the JCS ini in German.
The zip file contains one file, the JCS.ini, without a readme or caution notice or the eventual damage it could make.
With a first look at the JCS ini I saw the author went a bit insane. Look at this!
Kräftige? I don’t know what that means, but it surely does emphasise something. The original JCS isn’t full of exclamation marks, so I wonder if this is really needed.
A good thing I encountered was this:
Brauch Area ID (use area ID) is handy for the JCS person that is not aware of how to use the Rocket Turtle (or in German, the Raketen Schildkröte.)
That’s all.
CONS:
If you don’t want to lose your original JCS.ini, you have to make a backup. That’s irritating. Also, if you’re German and you used the English JCS.ini for such a long time it might get confusing to make a level with the German one since all the things have different names.
PROS:
It’s handy if you are German and your English is bad.
RATING:
This file should not be rated since it’s a *.INI file and anyone could do this.[This review has been edited by Electric Ir]
