This is a VERY good remix, oever. I liked the intro, the buildup and them the sudden switch to Tubelectric. Great stuff, man. I expect more uploads! My only complaint would be that it gets a little repetitive after a while. Other than that, this definitely gets a download recommendation.

What software do you use, by the way?

I used MODTracker, and I wanted to give it a try. I know it was kinda repetitive, but I wanted to create a good song. I may make more once I collect the right samples. I saved it as an Impulse Tracker file. I’m currently extending the mix, by adding the 3D Bonus Stage Music to it.

This is a great song for the first 3 mins. after that you just keeped on reepeting the same beats asif you were trying to build up to something but you never did. And true the beats did changed, you still reepeted those new beats why too long before you changed them to the next ones. Still the first 3 mins. were the best. Good Job.

I’ll be critic today. At least it seems so.

As first point I should mention that the song is really (I mean really) good for a first try but… People mostly don’t listen to the song because it’s authors first one… I’ll review it as normal tune, don’t hate me for it ;(.

It begins with original voice from Orbitus, after one pattern and half there are added some hi-hats, then they stop (which I really don’t like) and new drumloop comes. Original lead sample, new drumloops, lead sample change, drumloops (there is drumloop change which sounds really ugly, from moreless dnb (in bad sound quality) it changes to dance, just suddenly without anything)… But… in all those three minutes no melody change (except from the pattern breaks also from original Orbitus)!

Then comes Orbitus’s second theme, it’s played till end, with same tactic, changing instruments and loops.

The song itself is mainly about the drumloops, nothing much is changed at all… Except that loop change I mentioned, it everything sounds nice

My biggest complaints go to the structure of the song, cymbals are almost randomly distributed into the patterns, sometimes it’s louder, sometimes it’s pretty quiet… It sounds very chaotically. The song also needs too big time to buildup, 2:56 (from 5:22) repeating of of six seconds long background melody is way TOO much.

Rating: 3 + 1 (first try bonus)

Keep practising, you are really talented. It’s really fantastic for first try, just train and I promise I’ll give you better rating next time. ;p

Rating Orbilectric:

Plus:
For a Orbitus-level is this a very fit song. While I thought first it is just the orginal Orbitus-song (in that case this worth a 1) I was wrong. When the song plays 1:49, also some instruments from Tubelectric starts playing. Extremely good. This song is also extremely long: 5:23.

Minus:
No wrong things.

Conclusion:
For everyone that want to create an Orbitus-level this is the best choice.
Only one thing, no one song is perfect.
So, this is a 9,9 and absolute a download recommendation.

Mark: 9,9
Download recommendation: YES!
(Unsupported rating removal. How do Tubelectric instruments and a length of 5:23 justify a rating of 9.9? Are Tubelectric instruments an inherently good thing? Why? Is it not an issue that nearly the first two minutes of the song are unedited? ~Violet)

ANSWER:
You have made a mistake. There are really differences at the first two minutes.

*The drums start later and on another order. In real Orbitus-music is that not the case.

*Dude-dude-dude at the begin last longer

*Just before the two minutes hear you also instruments of Tubelectric. In real Orbitus-music is that also not the case

So, there are really differences. I’ve putted back my 9,9.

Introduction:
Your basic arrangements of Orbitus and Tubelectric slapped together to make one long song.

Song Analysis:
It’s pretty basic all and all. Around 2:41, the song switches over to something a little more drum-oriented. 3:27(Pattern 27) to the end consists of the same 16 notes played over, and over, and over, and over again using the sample from Tubelectric with no volume slides or cuts, no note cuts, and nothing to soften the blow between each note. At high volumes, this could be deafening; at low volumes, this is rather irritating.

Sample Analysis:
A couple new samples(or maybe some samples from Jazz Jackrabbit 2) mixed with some samples from Jazz Jackrabbit. Nothing much to say here. Robert A. Allen had good taste.

Final Analysis:
This song is irritating and repeatitive. You took a perfectly good song that had some depth to it and decisively hindered it.

Score: X.XX
“Originality” Points: X.XX
Total Score: X.XX
As per request, seeing as this is this person’s “first try,” scoring will be withheld. This is as “nice” as I get.

Recommendation?:
I don’t really recommend this to anyone. The song itself isn’t bad, but it’s a far cry from anything interesting.
