OK i really need some help here, I'm sure i'm not the only 1.23 user out there that is getting annoyed by the fact that TSF servers are fast replacing 1.23 servers. I know there used to be an illegal TSF patch but is there any way for someone to make a legal patch or make a program like 'controller' that lets the 1.23 user play on ALL servers-not just the ones that use 1.23 compatible tilesets. I know the answer is just to buy 1.24 but there has to be an easier way. Could someone out there please help me and all the other 1.23 users that feel the same way.

Frankly, 1.23 servers are better. TSF is just too noob-filled. But if you really must join, there's something or other you can hex edit in JJ2, if I remember correctly, that will make your version "think" it's TSF. Other people's sprites will appear messed up and you won't be able to join servers with large tilesets, but it would still let you play TSF games.

Radium, I agree with what ur sayin but thething is the majority of servers today are TSF and thats what annoys me-instead of one big jj2 community we have 2 and I'm trying to find out if there s a 'Legal' way around it, because as i said earlier there used to be a TSF patch but it was illegal. we need something like that.

1.) Start JJ2.
2.) Go to the main menu. 3.) Start Project Controller 4 (PC4). 4.) Click on tools. 5.) Click on version editor. 6.) Select 1.24 - TSF Full (1.24) on the drop-down list. 7.) Click change!. 8.) You should be able to join TSF servers now. The sprites will be messed up, though.

I do that alredy Labratkid but its still anoying because most of the TSF servers use tilesets that arent compatible with 1.23.

That might be why they're TSF servers, mightn't it?

EVERYONE ON TSF IS A NEWBIE. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW LONG THEY'VE BEEN PLAYING. THIS IS OFFICIAL, BECAUSE WE CAN'T UNDERSTAND THEM, SO THEY OBVIOUSLY ARE IDIOTS.
