How did you discover the JCF?
Dang, this has been boggling me forever. I'm always wondering how we have like a new member everyday. Exactly how did you discover the JCF? And of course you probably discovered J2O the same way, but of course, I could be wrong.
--- Reply with how you discovered the JCF, and what month-day-year you joined --- I discovered JCF....: Because on J2O, there was a news announcement that JMMB was going to die, and so F.Quist, Nebula, and other people decided to make a new JJ forum. First they asked us, the people, what the name of the forums should be. Eventually the forum was made, and that was about March 22, 2001! I officially joined as JJ Tublear* TA UR, about a day after the boards were finished being built. And I joined as that name on March 23, 2001! I finally joined as this name and current name on April 26, 2001! --- Some of you new people might be confused because on some of the Admin/Mods' join dates it says January 2001. Basically I have no clue what that means, but I'm guessing It's when the forumz were started to get built.

I was on the JMMB, then Dethman killed that. About two days later, J2O opened up the JCF, so I joined that. Simple enough.

Well deeaar, so long ago already? More than two years... And I forgot again to make that day a holiday. *snaps finger* That was a fated day, not meaning to sound cheesy. This place has given me a LOT. Might even be dead without it, who knows, who knows. Anyways. I discovered this place a little more than two years ago. I've gotten JJ2 about 4 years ago and stopped playing, then started again, so I wanted to download levels from J2City (.. that was what it's called, right? ) again, only to find that the site was gone. Sooo, I began searching for a new one and found J2O. And since mother has been all over "forums" lately, I just wanted to try this out. And I apparently came to.. like it. XD; I became the top poster within few months.. ehehe.

I found J2o in December/January 2001-2002, browsed a bit, dled somestuff. Finally registered in August. I explored a bit and found the JCF also in August (about August 03 2002) or something, but I found it a bit strange and confusing so I ignored it. Then, September 1st 2002, a few days before school started, I decided heck with it and registered. The end.

I think I heard about this site over a game of JJ2. I don't remember, that was years ago.

I migrated from the JMMB after it's demise. And I found the JMMB by finding J2C, and I found J2C by searching for Jazz Jackrabbit stuff.

I think I originally found J2O by typing in "Jazz Jackrabbit" in Google. Same with finding J2C.
I found the forums when I found out that Forums were the same thing as Message Boards. If only the link on J2O said Message Boards, I would've been on the JCF much sooner.

I started playing JJ2 when I was 4 years old.
Then I interested playing it and when I finally (5-6 years after) get the internet I started to search JJ2 sites. Then I found J2O from google and I found "forums", there I (oh dear! My limonade just fell to my desk! ![]() ![]() |

Well..as for me,Back in December 2002, I was introduced to J2O/JCF by Fawriel, whom I actually first met on Side 7's messageboard, then at one point when I was talking to him over msn, he mentioned some enemy that was going to be used in some JJ2 Fangame, and he asked me then if I knew the game Jazz Jackrabbit 2, then I said yes, and that I am a fan of it and have actually played it offline since 1996. So then he went all yay! and gave me the link to J2O. So I registered at J2O and then registered at JCF. Good ol' times.

I knew about Jazz2 City for a while (from jazzjackrabbit.com), and finally went to post a level. When I sent the level to Wakeman, he said he was no longer accepting levels, and gave me the url to J2O. And then I figured how to find the JCF from J2O... I mean, what TOTALY MAD FAT HACKER SKILLS!

I used to drop by at Jazz 2 City every once in a while (and registered at the JMMB (under another name), which died before I could think of making a post). I moved on to visiting Alienator's Universe Jazz, because people uploaded levels there as well. This site had a link to J2O if I recall correctly, and after going there a few times, I noticed it had a pretty, shiny forum.

well, I registered on the JMMB, and a few years later saw this flashy .gif advertisement for J2O (if anyone still has that, PM me with it please...) and clicked it, it seemed rather boring, so I never went there, finally the JMMB closed, with the message "erm...fatal error?and dethman goes on and on about how there's not enough christian content anymore, blah blah, so I register at the JCF a bit later...

I discovered the JCF in January 2001, using an ftp client.

I was the first to really register (assuming quist's account was made in the phpBB install process), after being the first to click a link in an IRC meeting of people discussing the fate of the JMMB or some nonsense like that :P

People were posting on the JMMB about it being about to die and advertising the JCF but I didn't want to join because I figured it was one of the many forums/sites that kept popping up but nobody liked since J2O was "the" be all end all fan site for JJ2. But then the JMMB died and I registered here.

So basically I guess teh whole JJ2 scene started in 1997. Or something. I unfortunately didn't join till 1998, basically a few weeks before the full version came out. You know what I think would be funny. I want to hear what Dethman would say if he saw this site, or joined it, I know he would comment about JMMB or something. More likely than not, he knows about this site, or what if he was playing JJ2 under a different name that nobody knew, whoa... It would also be funny if the JMMB returned. I seriously doubt it will.

People were constantly mentioning J2O, and I eventually asked what it is, and found the site. Pretty much the same went for the JCF; I didn't notice the Forums link for the longest time. Actually, I lurked for ages on both, never finding a need to post. But I was there - sort of.

1. Play JJ1 in 1995 on uncle's computer
2. Play JJ2:TSF demo in 2001 on cousin's computer 3. Buy JJ2:TSF in 2001 and install it 4. Buy a modem in 2002 and start playing online 5. Get instrued by BOD Elrick what is J2O in 2002 6. Notice the "Forums" link in the almost-upper-right corner soon after getting on J2O 7. Register on both
