Jazz and web surfing

For some reason whenever I have Jazz Jackrabbit 2 open I can't browse webpages. Anyone know why?

CPU: Intel P4 1700MHz
OS: Windows XP Home Edition SP2
Browser: Internet Explorer 6 SP2
JJ: Jazz Jackrabbit 2 1.24
Internet: via Ethernet from Cable Modem

Mainly it was this site.

As soon as I closed JJ2 it would go immediately to the page very fast.... but when JJ2 is open it hangs like it's waiting for a reply.

While JJ2 is running, it sucks up your CPU Usage, so other processes go very slowly. If you minimize the game, other processes speed up, but if you're in a multiplayer game, you'll time out if you leave it minimized for too long.

no, it's definately not a CPU problem.... everything runs just fine when JJ2 is open.... just can't browse.... and I don't think it's XP SP2 that's causing it...

Do any other internet-related programs stop working? (e.g. Outlook, MSN, Yahoo)
