Jazz Jackrabbit 2 World Championship's Capture The Flag contest!
Lately there is a lack of 3on3 CTF maps. Most of the old maps are simply too unbalanced, outdated or overplayed. The JJ2WC crew is glad to annouce a new CTF contest! Prize: The best map(s) will join JJ2WC II's mappool. However, the prizes might be changed according to the quality and the quantity of the entries. First of all, these are the conditions:
Deadline: February 19th 2005, 18:00 GMT. The entries must be sent to reptilemt@gmail.com. You can also send your entry through MSN Messenger or ICQ (154119511). ~R3ptile Last edited by R3ptile; Feb 19, 2005 at 07:45 AM. |

Hey, that's great! I will go back to my old style and make a symmetrical level. Got only one question though. What do you call 'big enough for 3on3's'? Thanks.

Ok, in also, but as I'm very busy nowadays I think I can begin the earliest at 10th January and can barely work on the level each day. There has been a few contests already which I promised to take part into and I passed through the deadline in both of them already. So, I'll try to have some interest to finish the level this time anyways. First prize sounds good and there's 2nd and 3rd prizes as well.
Dunno yet about 3rd prize but as you mentioned already, R3ptile, the 2nd prize could be that the level became an early ab7ctf1.j2l.

btw uhm someone asked how big, bigger than sbv2.
Ohh and guys, may your goal really be a stable level. Cuz remember what we want in this competition is not exactly god knows how much of a posh level, all we want is a fair 3v3 level. Symetrical levels are almost the best for the job most of the time. Cuz even small differences can really lead to drastic score differences on such a close call tournament. A few examples: semi blue, zaitox blue etc. Anyway seeing that cell fs sj and the rest have joined, we should get 1 or 2 hughly competitive levels. EDIT: BTW twas my idea ![]()

I see. We should get a good and balanced CTF level with this contest. To declare something, I really think Semi is too small for 3v3(ever checked in JCS?) but good enough for 2v2.
I think 153 x 64 is big enough(or something like that)? A XLM level in the mappool would be great. |

Seems fine to me. I'm not sure about what tileset I would use, but I'll edit this post and tell what tileset I am using.
EDIT: I decided that I am gonna use Space or Space Warbase. Last edited by DarkSonic; Jan 6, 2005 at 01:01 PM. Reason: I said I would edit. =P |

That contest is over, but I still can't know who the winner of it is. WR is lazy...
But that's just the judge topic. The topic with the instructions etc. is the sticky thread. |

That's.... pretty bad for me. Now I have to wait much longer before I can upload my level =(. And I worked much at my level just because I thought I had to hurry up. Oh well.

I have one serious thing to say.
My old contest level seemed to be too bad, so I am going to make a new level. The tileset I'm using is one of the hardest. It's Chateau!!!!11 This level is 115 x 60, which is the same size as Distopia, and symmetrical. Is it too small? You said every size is fine, as long as it's not TOO small. |
