Epic Megagames and releasing games as Freeware
This is sort of Jazz Jackrabbit related, but since we all basically are angry at Epic for what they have been not doing or what not realted to the Jazzz games, I made this poll.
I say NO. Some games are 10+ years old, and still not released as freeware. I say also NO, until someone actually tells them to do it and they listen.

I personally doubt it will happen until Epic goes out of business, but hey, you never know.

Wasn't there some conflicts with rights and such? That's at least why they stopped JJ3.
I would say never.

One game, I'm talking about at least every game they made from the '80s till '98.

Every game they made? Correct if I'm wrong, but Epic didn't create *all* of the games under the "Epic Megagames" name *enitrely*. In fact, all Epic did was *share resources* for some of the games (especially in the middle 90's), like One Must Fall 2097 (by Diversions Entertainment mainly) and Xargon. Therefor, the rights to some of the games lay mainly with the partners of Epic at the time. Consider that food for thought

Why won't epic give us some sources? They should be happy with their UT engine, why keep the rest? :devilish grin:

Because Epic is a company that is meant to make money and they ain't willing to give away their products free. Show them money, lots, and you will have your source code.
