Hazel's Escape

[Watership Down] Hazel running away from a farmer with a gun. The orange stripe thing in the back is a flashlight shining on him...

Colored pencils, Crayola Markers, India Ink...

I think the light from the flashlight should go from left to right, now it looks like it goes from right to left.

The emotion display on the face is quite good. You really see the emotion materialised, or something.

Much improved. You can really see fear in his expression.

However, if you want the light to be shining on him from behind, it might be better to apply some shadows to the actual character.

He's afraid. He's very afraid. He should be. Humans are not nice. --Humans. Wait, ++humans. But good drawing. It couldv'e used more realistic light, however.

I can just agree with the others. Good picture, but with some flaws, naturally.
The expression looks good. Distressed. In anguish.
..however, it doesn't exactly look like fear and fleeing from certain death to me... the picture is too undynamic for that, and I'm of course not sure about this, but the eye could be a bit more open... as in, the eyelid's left side raised up a bit.. it looks too much like sadness this way.
About dynamic, it can be achieved with some subtle tricks.. a rabbit is fast, so a fleeing rabbit's fur would be pushed back by the air. Flocks of fur standing out would be directed to the behind.
Also, the coloring can be used for that.Simply only move the color pencil in the direction the motion goes, in this case, horizontally.
That's all I can tell you that hasn't been said yet. Gl hf.

Hmh. My mother agreed. The eyes don't look like fear, they look like death.
Well, the photoshopped picture... I actually like the original better. Although the new one looks, well, disturbing. Which might fit the mood of the motive.
