Does anybody know exactly how many tiles 1.23 supports in their tilesets? Thanks, I'd really like to know.

Uh I think it is 1020 cause a tileset is 10 across.

A tileset supports 1020 tiles MAX. You cannot go any higher than that. Also, animated tiles count as part of a tileset, and including animated tiles you can have a maximum of 1024 tiles. Although if you go to exactly 1024 you will recieve errors...

And don't forget TSF... 4080 tiles. But, you asked for 1.23, so nevermind.

Generally, the bigger the tileset the less likely people will want to use it for big time animations single player levels. *Cough* Blasteria *Cough*

Great, the tileset I'm doing has literally no animations (well, you can always do destruct scenery etc. but...) but is almost full (I'm remasking one). I think I'll have some room to add extra tiles.
