Hi, remember me?

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/19803023/

After a rousing battle in Open Canvas with Risp and Lem Gambino, I spent an hour recreating one of the abominations that was created in the OC war.

Pedro! He whent through various stages, including "Stick figure." to "Stickfigure with details and colours" to "Desembodied Head." As such, I felt compelled to take him to the next level. "Serious drawing." Anyway, this was a portrait that I did with just a pencil in one hand and a book light in the other, labouring late into the night.

So here he is, the man, the legend, the true Fiesta Master, Pedro.

P.S. Sorry Lem, I got side tracked. I'll work the other drawing later ;(

Looks quiet good, except for the eyes. The first thing that is missing are that tiny little black holes, called pupils, secondly, every living person has light reflexes inside his/her eyes.

Other than that, it's good. ^^

Yeah, I forgot to do my super patented not really l33t shading technique on the eyes D=. But thanks for the comments, I'm already researching how to improve them actually.

Haha Stratten you deviously devious deviant you, with your dangerously devious DeviantArt account.

Anyway, time for my usual criticism thing. Your problem isn't so much the lack of pupils in the eyes (tons of artists, myself included, hardly ever draw pupils, and we sort of get away with it), but the shape and placement of the eyes. They are too close together, for one; unless you're going for a very cartoony look (which the rest of the image is too detailed for), you usually want to keep at least one eyeslength between the eyes. Also, the eyes seem too flat; more like eye stickers than actual eyes.

I'm so ashamed! I've been bashing DA for so long, and now I'm contributing to it.

An admin should change that bold title under your name to "deviously devious deviant".
