Iv been Testing JJ2 on these Operating Systems:

Windows 95/98/Me

Windows NT/2000

Windows XP

It worked fine on Windows 95/98/Me Like it should do.

With Windows NT/2000 it works but i would seriously recommand you download directx8 for NT/2000 and the Game Fix on Windows Update. Then it should work fine. Execpt for the Sound that sounds weird, but i fixed that by disabling Direct Sound in the JJ2 Music and Sounds Menu.

With Windows XP, it woullnt work very well. Bad Frame Rate (20 fps) but if you use the built in emulator and emulate Windows 98 it works fine around 60fps (still not 70 fps!!!)

Iv havent had the Time to Test the Different Linuxs (bocs theres soo many) any one who has please post results.

Are you sure the framerates aren't because of differing refresh rates?

Just incase you didn't know... there's also a Macintosh version of Jazz2... but It's not complete like the Windows version: Not only it doesn't have JCS, but too much events don't appear when it does in Window's version.

My level "Spring up!" has alot of springs and it's a long way to go to the top. Half-way on Macintosh users, there are no springs.

Up until recently I used Windows 95, but now I have Windows 98.

I also have Linux (SuSe 7.0). JJ2 working does not depend at all on the distribution used. In order to run it you need Wine, which runs on any (recent - glibc 2) Linux distribution.

Maybe something worth noting is that on my old 133MHz MMX the difference in framerate between running in fullscreen and windowed mode is tiny, but on my new 500MHz MMX the framerate halves. Weird, huh?
