CliffyB Recaps On Jazz Jackrabbit
I don't remember this being mentioned before, so I wonder if anybody's seen it.

And that was Jim Jones, not John Smith.

So, my fellow cultists, how's it going?
On the topic of nostalgia, I guess I'll post my little bit with Jazz 1. JJ1 was one (of the 4) first games on my computer I ever had (and obviously, since i only had 4 games, i played each of them often). Even though it was shareware I remember loving it and playing it numerous times. Great memories. Then a close friend at school ended up also having the game (full version) so I often played it at his house.

That is hauntingly simalar to how I came across and played Jazz, excepting that it turned out that the full version of my friends had been ripped [via floppy disks no less] from the store he worked in. He later 'installed' it on my PC, and in my ignorance I assumed legality.

Hmm... no wonder there are no pits in JJ2. Not even the possibility for pits.

It is still perfectly possible in JJ1, if you just edit a level with JCS94 and let Jazz drop down. He disappears for a little while, and then you get the death animation.

This brings back memories XD Funny how I hang around on a forum about Jazz every day and still this brings back memories...
Jazz 1 was one of the first games I played. Man, if I had not decided to play with the boot menu and end up in DOS that day... My brother saw it and showed me some games. Jazz was one of them, and it was (-)ed awesome. Shareware though -_- So years later, I STILL have the shareware version and get bored. Then, one day, I come home from a party and my brother DEMANDS that I go play Jazz. So I'm like "WT(insert letter)!?" I go play and all the episodes are white. =D |

Not if you put a 1UP over the checkpoint sign... but I suppose that would be pointless unless the whole level was pits.
