On some new computers betas of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 were included...so yeah, I guess if you found someone you could.

I may be able to access the animations... but they've edited out those things... blocked by change of weapon number, they do exist however. I could try a few things but It'd take forever and I'd like some auto program to do it for me instead.
And even if we were to reintergrate it into the game, we would have to find the sequencing for when you press enter to change weapons and insert it into there and hope jj2 doesn't notice that... I'm only assuming on most of this stuff and so I don't even know if it's possible of if that's the way it's done... In sense, yeah, we could try... use a GZIP decompression and search through all that... but that's just me.

At least the sprites are around. (Fire gun both types are SCEs, and Overlord turns into a red blade gun at one point)

There are a few more differences that I found in those beta screenshots, aside from the weapons;
1. The gems seem to have a different sprite. 2. The 3D sky graphics don't fade at the inner distance, not even by contrast. - Piz |

I noticed that, that seems really sweet... with a bit of script writing we would also be able to put a verticle one...
Heh, I also think you can create one in winamp. okay... I'll go get my files from last time and see if they work, then maybe if I feel like it I'll try.

I don't think the background is all that different. If you look at beach in 8bit mode it goes all the way to the background.

oh wait...
I just remembered something of important value... See, jj2 used 255 events with different "personalities". It's why you can sometimes see a jazz two logo in a game... some of those weapons have different personalities... that why you get a dizzy jazz smokering, the fireball thingy, and somehow still the electroblaster.

To me, except for the guns, and a little of the bg, it looks a lot like the present JJ2. I think that the animations of the characters, and even the look would most likely be different, just like the JJ1 beta shots. Jazz looked really different there.

Ok let me clear this up for yall
![]() Those screens didn't come from a beta version of Jazz 2, they are from version 1.00h or something, the OEM version that was distributed with some new computers. How do I know you ask? I used to have the CD of the OEM version, my friend gave me it, but unfourtunately he took it back and has moved far away ![]() |
