Question A Few Questions..

Ok, yes you probably guessed it, I am new.
My question is:

1) I only have a copy of Jazz Jackrabbit Holiday Hare '98. Does this mean I can only HH98 and shareware maps on the internet?

I have read a thread about this but it doesn't seem to answer my question (Well at least in my opinion).

Administrators please feel free to move this thread if it is in the wrong spot..

Thank You very much.

Sorry about the title, only one question.

No. You can add any map, but you have to rename it, so it replaces another one. For example:
The level you downloaded is called "InsideYourNose.j2l", and the level you want to replace is called "share7.j2l". You must rename that level to "share7.bak", or something like that, or directly delete it, and call the level you downloaded "share7.j2l".
I hope you understood...

I seriously hope you don't delete it, though.

How long have you had HH98?

Uh since 2001 I think, played the same levels over and over again: Snow Bunnies, Dashing Thru the Snow, Tinsel Town, Darn Ratz, Retro Rabbit and Frog Stomp.
I am trying to find a copy of JJ2 here in Australia (Like it's ever going to happen, only seen it once)..

EDIT: After what Pako Spanrabbit just said I have come out with a bit more questions:

1) Can I download maps of J2O and use them in multiplayer?
2) Can I download Single Player Episodes? (I am guessing that I can't)

Sorry for all these questions :P

I am trying to get it off the internet for my birthday but I just can't. My folks say "Only if it's in Australia, otherwise you can't". So I have a bit of trouble trying to get it..

1.) Yes, but you need the 1.23s patch, obviously.
2.) No.

Woah..

Dude I am completely SERIOUS here..
I am not kidding, all I have is HH98.

Consider this, if I didn't have it I wouldn't ask as many questions possible..

I've got a spare CD, but I doubt my parents would let me send it from Viccy to Sydney.

People like to think that when the support for a game suddenly stops, it's freeware. Although it is true that freeware games hardly have customer support (if any) from the original company, that doesn't go the other way around! Games, even "abandoned", still fall under copyright laws and Terms of Service no matter how old they are, thus making them illegal to spread around, unless they've been declared freeware.
Why would it say nothing about Abandonware if it's in the (-) title?

You 'capture the flag' and bring it back to your own base -.- And kill the other flagkeeper, like in every other CTF-mode.
