Which Epic Tileset Rocks? My personal favourite is Medivo.

Even though I voted for it as well (mostly because the tiles do look awesome), by using it I can proudly say that the tileset was a pain in the (-), had horrible masking, pretty bad organisation (some tiles overlapped others) and lacked a tremendous amount of useful tiles. However, the few tiles it does have do look really awesome, so therefore it gets my vote. Edit: Tubelectric probably comes in 2nd (doesnt look nearly as cool as (-), but a lot easier to use and with a lot less bugs).

I think I like Colonius the most. Okay, so it's a nasty one to actually use, but I really do like the look of it. Very unique setting. I probably would have voted for Town House had it been an option, but out of these, I choose Colonius. I would also hazard a guess that it's the least used Epic set except for Inferno.

I'm working on another level with (-)ation, and it's really a nice tileset. The organization is better than some of the others and I like lava settings

I don't have a tileset which I favour above others. All of them have pretty bad masking, most are quite unusable and just don't cut it with custom tilesets. If I had to pick a favourite, it'd be Colonius.

Inferno, since it looks so great and requires 1337 5|<|112.

Labrat is my favorite, mainly because when I got the jj2 demo for Mac (back then (1999) we were still stuck on a 486, and when we got a iMac from my homeschool, it became the most used computer in the house)!, I really loved the first level in the demo. I still like to listen to the music now and then.
(Interestingly enough, I figured out how to recreate the mac version of the song. It has a extra sample at the end that completes the song) |
