Recent stuff
An update on my Deviantart page.
iSin Sin from FFX wearing an iPod like in those commercials. Done quickly in the GIMP. MYST A tribute image to one of the games that really inspired me to get into game design and programming. Crashlander A sci-fi story that nobody has told me any opinions of. About a guy who crash lands on a planet. (NOTE: I only realized afterwords that there was already a book called Crashlander which I believe was written by Larry Niven.) Tentacle The Invader Originally made for a French project. |

iSin. I've seen random things, and that is... pretty random.
The Myst picture is cute. I mean, it's pretty. It lacks depth, though.. the book looks a little more like a leaflet. Depth is incredibly important in creating epic thingsies. The tentacle monster looks like finally a decent evolution for Tangela. Err. Anyway, depth could help here again... and stuff. I'm sorry, I'm horribly scatterbrained today. Let me try again tomorrow or so.

The MYST book is washing up against the shores of some unknown age, for another adventurer to find.
iSin, this evolved from a really long deviantart search... About depth, I agree. I hope I can do some things better in the GIMP, but I dunno. |

Thanks! (Paint.net is awesome. The GIMP on the other hand doesn't have a line tool.)

Flat, simple illustrations that shows original ideas. There's not much to say, the art feels very "average", not impressive nor specially disappointing. You need to get more of your inspiration into your images, let the colors flow and show more emotion. For example, the crash landing spaceship is alone a concept that can be incredible impressive in its illustration and opens up for many possibilities in alone colors, poses and design.

RIVEN Background
Same style as the last one, except I think this one fits together better. Letters also look less screwed up. EDIT: EXILE Background I'm just on a roll with these things!! Last edited by ShadeJackrabbit; May 15, 2007 at 06:51 PM. |
