Hello,

Rep made me(and Sasik, who disappeared?) the new supervisor of the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 World Championship...and it's been a while since he did. I see it as my responsibility, and it is, to get this tournament back to life. First of all I need to know if the remaining clans are still interested in continueing this tournament. Those clans being FoF, DM, CC, CC2, MF and 8-D. Just ask around in your clans and let me know if you're still planning on participating.

EDIT: I have set a deadline. If you don't reply here that you intend to play before 03/10/2007(which is 2 weeks from now) you will have lost your chance to play and a decision will be made regarding how the tournament layout shall be.

Haven't played for months, but if it's what it takes to make the FoF team complete, I'd be eager to participate

This tournament was so silent that I didn't even notice it being frozen up. But sure I'll play.

RL is not sure yet

Grytolle, Anakin and Snooze, and myself of course, (from CC's warteam) confirmed that they would be willing to play again. I only need a confirmation from Maverick now, but you can already count CC(1) in.

Yes, they are. But MF's former players can still participate as a team, in my opinion.

Time is up...no reactions from DM, nor from Hatebreed(MF). What do you guys suggest to do now? There were 2 poules, from the first one only CC remains. Technically they win their poule and then they face the number2 of the other poule(8-D, RL or FoF). And the number1 of poule2 would face number2 of poule1, but there is only one team in poule1. Problem!

I'm a bit confused. Didn't we have two teams who were in some sort of semifinals already, with four others fighting (or supposed to be doing that) over the remaining two spots? I somehow remember us being tied 1-1 in rounds with RL.

In other news, studies have been eating a lot of my time recently, but I can still play if FoF has need of my services, at least if the planning fits a bit.

I'm still willing to play too.

Could you give detailed standings for both poules? It's easier to decide on what to do that way.

me too. Are new clan accepted? I think MF is dead, but MURR (RR) might play instead. At least I'm eager to do so. Dunno about BB, CL however.

You have to play like MF, and you have to have been signed up for it. You, personally, have already played for 8D, so it's not gonna happen.

Bots was in the same group as MF. Maybe ex-BOTS ppl can go through and replace MF?

We could consider that, yes. In the weekend I will have enough time to make a post about the actual standings in both poules and the decisions that got to be made(probably through a poll).

I'd say the best idea would be a new tournament, but I guess some people would disagree.

A new tournament would be great. Then AMC could join in.

Replace MF with MURR
Replace MF with ex-BOTS

In this case however an argument is not needed imo. Even a more simpleminded person can notice, that he was referring to mess that would follow if RR was to replace MF and also wanting to give a chance for new clans such as AMC.

I agree it would be the easiest to just start over. It's been so long since the first tournament games were played, that many things have changed since then, such as the skill level of players, the clan of certain players and the willingness to play.
Personally I don't remember what games I've played and how they went. Prolly I played some stuff for ...
I vote for a new tournament to give a chance to AMC and RR and since the tourney has been frozen for so long it wouldn't feel the same to continue now.

No, the logical, and fair, thing to do would be finish the tournament and then afterwards start a new one - if there's interest.

And rather end the tournament with the clans which are left.
